Sexism?

SO I just had a game where a player did something troll-like. Teammate was in a bush recalling with low health, and the troll player was being chased by 2 of the enemy team. This player went out of their way to run towards the bush that recalling teammate was in and I'm pretty sure you know what happened next.

I said "Thanks -champ name-" They laughed about it, obviously, and it was kinda funny. I simply responded "Yep."

Well they went OFF - they started out saying "AND DON'T ASSUME I'M A MAN EITHER BITCH" That carried off into calling me a "STUPID HETERO MALE" among other colorful things... and then proceeded to troll and afk farm in lanes instead of pushing objectives. She said that because she's a female, her trolling doesn't mean anything (or something along those lines).

I never once assumed or called the player a male. I'm also female, which makes it interesting that she was so adamant that I not assume she was a male, when she assumed I was the same.. and hetero at that (like it matters).

**Are the things this person said considered (hilariously) sexist? **

I am not entirely sure what exactly happened in your game but that seems like someone may have been fishing for some sort of response to their negative behavior. Good on ya for not taking their bait and firing back at them. Just to clarify, trolling is trolling, one's gender, beliefs, nationality or anything else are not taken into consideration when punishments are issued.

Well, considering I can think of 2 fictional, female characters named Veruca (I know, different spelling, but it's close enough) I find it ironic they assumed you to be male.

And yeah, I would consider the things said to be sexist.

This does bring up a question I have always wondered! When someone is playing Vayne, do you call the player "her" because they are playing a female character, or "him" because they are statistically likely to be male?

Welcome to our lives, miss. That's how nearly every day is like for a guy. "Uh, I was just called sexist, and a rapist..I said Hello, what the fuck?"

imo sexism is a two way street you rag on guys for being guys its sexist just like with insulting girls for being girls.so yeah that individual was being hella sexist probably trolling but being sexist is sexist no matter the gender you're talking about like saying n***r is racist no matter what, gj for being mature tho I probably woulda been tilted by them depending on thedirection of the game lol

it has got to be hard to be a girl on video games, im a male with bipolar and one hour im god vayne/lee and next hour im either getting vaynespotted or people telling me to never lee again. and if i had to deal with the shit i see people say to women on these games often and then the same people be like "why are there so few girls in tech industry?" ... i remember a long time ago i was playing with a premade of friends and our support was sona this was in bronze normals mmr, but our supp did really good and was clearly a women and our enemies literally slut shamed her just for doing good... i mean thats beyond wrong.

I am 99% sure that was a dude who believes that feminism is stupid and that misandry exists and that women hoard "sexual capital" in a way that disenfranchises him particularly (Because he's ugly.)

So he went on and trolled as a strawman feminist. Hilarious. :/

Sadly in the world there are people who think assuming (or in your case not even assuming) someone's gender based on something they like to be sexist. However a lot of times this is either fake or the person doesn't know what actual sexism actually is. So this could be someone wanting to troll and used that as a means to get to it, or someone is easily triggered. There is no real reason to find out, so we are left wondering [zombie-brand-mindblown]

I mean it sounds like something I would say when I want to act like a triggered person.
