I ran 6 mages - vanilla mages, none using the mage item. Rank 2 Veigar did not doublecast his ult in my last 2 rounds. He was equipped with Rabadons and a single tear. My comp was Brand, Veigar, Taliyah, LeBlanc, Syndra, Vlad, Zyra, (inferno) Lux.

TBH his targeting is wack anyway he always targets the level 3's even when he can oneshot 2's
Krathin1 votesThe games is buggy in general, Dropping 6-8 cloaks or defense items, Veigar not casting .They need to figure it out and make it easier to report bugs mid game or from launcher
