They dont surrender because this community has decided that surrendering at ANY point, Normal, ranked, or otherwise, Is a sign of WEAKNESS.
How DARE you admit that as hard as you played, the enemy team played better. I lost count how many times I heard (often as we are getting obliterated in a 25 v 2 massacre) "Dont surrender, Never surrender. Surrendering is for weaklings and pu$$ies"
I even has a teammate who out and out said "I will report anyone who surrenders for giving up" after we just finished losing mid base tower (last base tower to fall)
I get sick and tired of these kids who think they are the "best player ever on league" so they will hold thier team hostage, make them miserable, and then report them for not treating an already lost match like its an LCS World final.
And as for the whole "meta" thing, its the reason I dont play meta.
Not because I am against it. I will try it now and then. BUT my problem is that its become sort of a Fundamentalist CULT.
Members of this Cult will stop thinking for themselves and ONLY play how the meta 'allows' them to play. Only build what the meta has deemed 'acceptable'
Anyone trying a build of thier own? having a different perspective on a scenario, They are automatically labeled 'trolls' or 'greifers' NOT because they are trolling, but because they DARE go against what the meta has dictated you are "supposed to" play, how you are "supposed to" build.
As I said, I hate the meta because it has become a rabid cult that will beat you over the head with thier doctrine of what characters you are -allowed- to play and in what lane. What items they will -allow- you to build in line with the current meta.
The freedom to express your own unique playstyle or build path? thats not allowed.
HOW DARE YOU THINK FOR YOURSELF!
That is why I hate the meta. And always will. Its not the meta itself, its the cult who beat players over the head with it for not playing "properly"
