Riot Encourages Dodging In Queues

I don't know if anyone else receives this issue but in every way it must be addressed by the Riot team as its getting out of hand. It seems that blind pick is absurdly unfair to do, over the past month or 2 every time I lock in 2 roles example Jg and Top I'll get into queue then into Champ Select just to find that at the end of champ select someone will dodge. THIS WILL HAPPEN FOR AT LEAST 5-10 CHAMP SELECTS IN A ROW UNTIL I GET THE SUPPORT ROLE OR A ROLE I DIDN'T WANT?!?!?!?. As soon as I get for e.g. Support every one will thinks its acceptable to not dodge. Its pretty dumb and unfair and seems to always happen to me which encourages the idea of dodging. It doesn't help that even the auto fill protector doesn't work either, it just puts you in queue you get your role then all the sudden someone dodges and you get a different lane again?.

Riot can you please address this and punish players even worst if they do it on purpose. Not 5 min bans but Temporary bans (Not that harsh).

I guess it can be frustrating but seriously it doesn't happen that much.

Dodging is so useful dude, yeah you'll loose 3LP, but over the season you'll actually gain a lot of LP if you dodge correctly. It's already punished by the dodge timer you have to wait, so i won't say they are encouraging it. But there are plenty of games where it's useful to dodge, especially in ranked.

I dodge every game where i end up with someone trolling in champ select or when i guess my team have less than 40% chances to win (first dodge), same thing if someone on the enemy team dodge I'd stay out of queue for like 1/2 minutes to avoid a possible troll.

If you play league 200days per year and dodge one 40% loosing chance game per day with your first dodge, you actually gain about 200LP, that is two full divisions !!!

( it's a little bit more complicated then that but here is a video that will sum it up, have a look at the google doc if you don't wanna watch it, you'll find the examples and more detailed information )

i REALLY dont think you should be saying that it is okay to dodge it isnt and is REALLY frustrating having to wait that much longer because of it......... so PLEASE do not endorse it...............

Well, dude, nobody wants to play that ranked game where even in champ select you can clearly see that your team will loose, those games where you get people trolling/flaming in champ select, those games where you get a janna jungle, a shaco support, a full AP/AD team, or just when the enemy team has a really powerfull teamcomp and yours not.. If you are playing to win, the game starts in champ select, and if you want to gain elo, dodging correctly will help you to climb a lot faster..

I'm not saying you should dodge every game, i'm saying it's an usefull thing for those who wants to try hard, not having trolls and toxic people in their team, and actually gain elo.

EDIT : from the summoner's code :

Being a good team player begins at champion select. Be open minded when considering the needs of your team. If you're the last one to pick, try to fill a niche in your team that hasn't already been filled. If everyone's picked and something stands out as a deficiency in your team composition, try asking for another player to fill the gap, or change roles to embrace that responsibility yourself. Remember, that by taking on a role you don't normally play, you'll learn more about unfamiliar champions and increase your own skill level.

If i get teammates that are complete assholes in champ select, yeah i'm gonna happily dodge that game.

Once i'm in-game i'll never surrender and i'll always try my best to win ! but in champ select i'll dodge if it's ranked and i clearly see that my team has no chance ( like when i look their op.gg and see that two people have a 20%winrate with the champion they've picked for example ).

In ranked every win counts ! that's why you should only play when you have a real chance ( unless you've already used your two dodge ) I'd say it's already punished pretty well actually, you won't be able to dodge 10 times in a day so it's not a big issue. It's a perfectly valid strategy and like i said you can gain multiple divisions doing so.

im not saying i like those situations either, im just saying dont endorse it

idk i feel like it's a perfectly valid strategy and everyone should be doing it if they wants to climb, if you don't want to play with bad peoples just look at their op.gg and if you see someone is already having a 20%winrate with the champion they picked, just dodge. You won't avoid every bad/toxic player doing so but it'll help. It's not like if you could dodge every time you just have basically 1/2 dodges per day it's not that big of a deal.

i totally get what you are saying just there are people that will take it to mean that it is okay to do it all the time so id appreciate if you wouldnt advertise it like that for every nitwit that thinks its okay to do it all the time can read it know what i mean?

Butt Ρlug1 votes

Yeah i get that but this won't be an issue either actually, if someone think that it's ok to do it all the time, they'll actually loose so much LP doing so that they'll fall down to B5 pretty quickly, as i said it's not something you can do all the time due to the LP loss and waiting timer.

I totally agree, no one should dodge a queue. Just learn how to play every lane! I always make sure I have a champion for every lane. Do you really think its worth a dodge, just to get the lane you want? Think about the other people that are playing - you make al of them wait. 9 other people, very unconsiderate!! Yasuo

?????????????? if your queueing up for ranked and you don't have 4 minutes to spare, thats pretty obnoxious because you're also probably the person who goes afk halfway because mom told you to have lunch lul
