People deciding to throw the game because they lost their lane

I just played a game with a tristana that decided to throw the game because he/she lost her/his lane. She afked constantly, hiding behind turrets for minutes on end. She didn't farm the nearby jungle. She let towers fall.

Anyone have any idea on how to get these trolls to realize that sometimes they will be the ons getting carried, and not just throw because they lost lane?

edit

I came out of another game. I was caitlyn adc, my support was teemo.

Teemo did the exact same thing as the tristana, for 30 minutes straight. He just sat under turret (He wasn't afk), no where near where anything was happening. He didn't get involved in the lane at all after our jungle failed a gank. Our jungle tried flaming him but I got the jungle to calm down. This went on for 30 minutes.

I was (me)1v2(them) for 30 minutes, straight. Our jungler ganked often, but our teemo continued to fall levels behind.

I was still able to get over 260 farm and was able to recover from my 0/4 kd after this, but carrying that game was hard. It didn't even feel fun. Still we won the game, no thanks to teemo. And needless to say, their jungler was all over my lane trying to take advantage of the absent support.

This is a real problem.

I noticed when ppl are like that because they are smurfs and they are angry because they lost to a bronze/silver so they just blame their teammates to feel better but I don't think you'll stop seeing that so Report

AS long as you don't escalate the problem by calling them out, they may decide to join back into the game. That's the best solution is to pretend they don't exist, but in a positive way.

I'd love to hear what lane you were in...I'm guessing Top or mid. I know it's a bronze game but the WORST thing you do is flame at them. I'm guessing there probably was a few words said to that Trist that made her afk under tower...

A good strategy i cannot stress enough to people is warding...ward ward ward ward ward. Effective warding can help understand the enemies next move(s). It also provides confidence in ganking. Maybe thats what that Trist was waiting for?

Another way to lessen this problem and get to the rank that you think you should be in, is duoing with someone. Best of luck in your future games!

it sucks but this is a thing with matchmaking.

these are players who cant compete in their lane, which means their mmr is probably too high for them. they dont want to get carried.

if they get carried and win, their mmr goes up even higher and they will likely have to fight an even harder lane next game. their best solution to get back to fun games is to lose a few and let their mmr drop.
