"keyboard not working" possible troll

last night I believe I had a player trolling my game in a new way I had yet to see.

the player claimed that there keyboard was not working due to a problem with a client file becoming corrupt. Sure enough this is a known issue that does happen on occasion.

the issue I have here is wouldn't that same problem prevent you from being able to access the in game chat just as it would prevent your other keystrokes from being recognized as an input into the game interface? If so that would be a clear indication of a lie.

if a rioter could be kind enough to illuminate this clearly so that others may be able to identify this in the future I would greatly appreciate it.

I've had this problem myself. Typically happens when I alt tab out of full screen mode when in game, and tabbing back in, maybe doing something in between.

Can't use skills, but can type. It's weird. Normally I just disconnect and reconnect and it fixes it.

I have times when my keyboard won't work. Like I can move and I might be able to type (not sure), but I can't cast any spells or use any items.

The way I found to fix it was the spam my keyboard as quickly as possible for several seconds and it eventually comes back. He might have experienced something similar.

Was the player in question a zyra support? If so, it was me. If so: not a troll, my keyboard really was busted, but zyra's abilities are more mouse-friendly than some since you can take your time to line up the shot in some cases. I landed maybe one combo all game, otherwise I just got dumped on.

I had to completely reinstall the game from scratch to fix it...
