This community is cancer

This is literally the worst community ive ever seen. Im new to this game and havent even reached lvl 30. Barely have any champions to play either. The level of hate and intolerance ive seen coming from people is honestly mindblowing. I just had two games with the same mid laner on my team who spent more time flaming the jungler, which was me second game, for not winning his lane for him instead of playing the game. On top of that for some unknowable reason people have this overwhelming desire to act like the biggest ass in the world. Its like they think nothing they do online has real world consequences. I honestly want to know what the appeal to acting like a 5 year old child is cuz for the life of me i cant find one. Now im chat restricted because i had the sheer audacity to defend myself against someone who was flaming me for 20+ minutes and cant receive any in game rewards, THEREBY DEFEATING THE POINT OF PLAYING THE GAME. Whoever decided that loot should be so heavily tied to this so called "Honor" system needs to be fired. Also whoever decided that the only way to get honor back is to grind out thousands of hours of games where you don't get reported also needs to be fired.

If you see '' in your games make sure you take every opportunity to report him when he starts flaming. And yes i realize that name and shame is frowned upon in communities. For this guy, I don't care.

This will be blunt, but it's not frowned upon only when you agree with it, and in fact naming/shaming others is against the Universal Rules of the boards. As such, your OP has been accordingly edited. If you have any questions about this please do not hesitate to contact us in the Boards Moderation Discord server.

Now, a point. You say you defend yourself, yet you apparently did not mute the person flaming you for 20 minutes. You instead decided that flaming them back was the way to "defend" yourself. That's wrong and a horrible and toxic attitude to have. You are free to defend yourself - mute - but you are not free to retaliate.

Also, it doesn't take thousands of hours of games to get back to honor 2 after one chat restriction. There are people who have done it in less than 50 games and in about a week. It only takes good behavior and moderately active play to climb back quickly - but every instance of bad behavior will make it take longer.

So few things.

First, the boards have a no name and shame rule. So you need to remove that players name or risk post deletion.

Second, you didn't defend yourself. Had you defended yourself, you would have muted them and not been punished. No, you retaliated, adding fuel to the fire.

If you ask me, I think the Call of Duty community is much worse. As far as I know, you can't get banned for toxic chat there & it can get pretty rough over there.

Problem with League is that you CAN get banned for toxic chat & those that do will usually make new Accounts just so they can continue what they were doing before they were banned.

The only way you can really "defend" yourself is to take the high-road, ignore the guy that's bugging you & report him at post-game. I get that using this way of thinking doesn't always work in the real world (sometimes, walking away doesn't work), but that's pretty much how you gotta go about it here in this community.

If the ingrate does ruin other people's games, then he/she will eventually get punished. After that, it's up to that person to take that ban as a lesson or just go back to doing what they were doing on a new account (which is essentially the problem).

If someone gets under my skin, I just say what's on my mind under my breath instead of typing it out. You can also switch off /all chat & mute players that are being distracting. Just when you do mute them, just don't say anything about it. Mute them & focus on the task at hand. As for your chat restriction, I'd take that very seriously & don't give those trolls an inch. Otherwise they & the Automated system will literally take a mile (in this case, time, money & progress).

as someone who has been playing this game for years your going to get people who flame you for anything and everything. IGNORE THEM. these type of people are legit not worth the time of "retaliating" against because they simply don't care. report and move on they can waste all the energy they want typing insults and snide remakes into chat all it earns them in the end is a ban

you shouldnt play this game for the community. once you find your purpose for this game it will become easier to play.
