Riot's a joke. Check out this ban.

My friend here has barely started playing ranked, and I happened to spectate their matches every now and again. They have never been punished in any capacity before, and have never been triggered, before playing ranked despite the consistent abuse I have seen her and other friends endure simply for their champion choices. I watched her go Teemo mid one match, and the premade on her team went OFF on her non stop, until she got a 1v5 triple kill and stopped baron then they stopped harassing her.

My name is Econetics. I'm a part of the support team at Riot and I'll be handling this matter. Your account was recently locked during a manual audit because we observed a pattern of excessive toxicity within a small period of time. This has resulted in a 2 week suspension was placed on your account.

Here are some Chat logs from games where you displayed offensive behavior:

19:12: ofc ereak is fed 19:16: two full items 19:17: gg 19:21: 3 21:40: ezreal with full cdr at 20 minutes 21:43: thansk to feeding bot lane 21:44: yeah 21:46: im bad 21:48: Zzzz 21:54: has e permanently up 22:15: you lsot lane 22:16: to ezreal 22:18: enough said 22:39: lading in cs 22:42: leading 22:46: even with all your feeding 26:40: ezreals tankier than vi 26:43: thanks bot 26:44: gj 29:53: wow 29:58: FIDDLES DIDNT EVEN BUIDL SUPPORT 30:01: and you lost 30:25: fiddles has more gold than bard without a support item rofl 30:46: they have two feeders 30:49: and we cant win 34:18: dc anymore 41:10: i said 41:12: idc anymore 41:26: bot fed laning 41:30: this match shoulda been a stomp

We will not be lifting the suspension due to the negativity observed.

Keep in mind that if audited again for negative behavior your account will be permanently suspended. The good news is that most players will never reach that level of punishment. In fact, most players who have been warned or suspended are able to change their behavior completely; I am confident that with the right attitude you can avoid any bans in the future. <- love the dickish passive aggressive responses riot gives out in ban letters.

Best of luck out there!

So again, she's never been punished at any degree before, she endured TWENTY MINUTES of them harassing her, trying to blame her for them feeding, before she said a single thing. Nothing she said was vulgar, or verbally abusive, and most of her comments were replies to them coming up with different excuses as to why its her or the top laners fault they were losing. Something the chat doesn't show, she was being camped all first 15 minutes of the game by udyr and fiddles, getting pushed out of lane etc, and she still went positive in lane, and never blamed anyone else or said anything negative, until the harassment became to much at 21+ minutes in.

This got her propelled to 2 week ban. Amazing. Not sure if it's just this riot employee who just clicks punish on every case, or if the rules have changed since riot lyte left. But she had never been punished before, and this is far from inflammatory. Maybe, negative attitude, but extreme enough to go straight to 2 week ban? Yeah...

"thansk to feeding bot lane"

"bot fed laning"

Ban deserved. That's flaming/harassment.

I find it odd that your friend didn't start chatting until about 20 minutes in. Are you sure this is the entire chat log?

She... Should have muted her team and taken a chill pill. You're her friend right? Show her how to mute. Teach her how to not respond to negative comments and how to report them after a match. Explain to her that the "blame game" is a good enough reason to report. As soon as someone says they don't care about the game report. As soon as someone says it's someone's fault report. As soon as someone says I'm reporting you and they start asking others to join in report. The less you say about it the more likely your report will be acknowledged. I've been reported for not letting little things go. I was punished. You can't be reported for muting your entire team and doing your best. You can be for spamming pings that have no meaning or are meant to target 1 player. Most importantly if you are her friend be an example to follow - play your matches all the way through, be positive in the chat log, and don't intentionally feed or grief just because you think it's funny. Griefing (not grieving) aka trolling examples are but not limited to giving away positions of allies, stalking allies and last hitting their mobs (different from stealing cs as a support which isn't reportable) , purposely letting a teammate die because of an argument, letting mobs and turrets constantly execute you, telling your ally wrong information about a champion (ie building deathcap on garen or keep tryndameres red bar low because he'll go super saiyan), purposely spamming attacks in all directions just to goof off while in a team fight. Feeding and assisting an enemy would be - using zzrot without hp so that an enemy can get free gold, placing wards for an enemy to destroy constantly on purpose, specifically giving enemies free kills (not dying a lot you can die constantly and still not be a feeder), requesting a 1v1.

I'm almost positive all of my explanations are correct. Please correct me someone if I'm wrong. Just trying to give advice.

My question is how do you know they rode her in the game you cite for 20 minutes for sure? I've never seen anyones chat while spectating.

keep in mind that out of game harassment (including pre/post game) and ping spamming is also considered under verbal abuse / harassment.

Those will also show chat logs of the game when punished, but won't be in the actual logs.

If what you are telling us is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, then this chat does not deserve a straight 14-day ban. We really don't have enough information here to see the whole picture.

So it's best to continue communicating with Riot Support, tell them what you told us and escalated it to a behavioral specialist to get a better picture of the punishment.

Is Riot the joke, or are you. Because you are the one that is supporting the game. Do not play the game and you will have no association with the game, making your life happier.
