LP Rewards For Behavior?

With Riot pushing League to be a team-based game, then I think that rewarding good behavior and punishing bad behavior in relation to rankings could be possible. Furthermore, with the current, pathetic reward for good behavior (a ribbon on the loading screen), honors in the post-game lobby are often disregarded and forgotten.

Perhaps if a teammate receives a penalty due to enough people reporting them, then that player small bit of LP and the toxic player's teammates receive a bit of LP. A bad teammate should recognize the errors made and the people who had to sit through it get mercy. Alongside that, if enough people honor a certain player, maybe they also receive a bit more (again, like 3 or so) for being such a good player and teammate.

There could be issues with people wanting to abuse this feature in dynamic queue for the extra LP, but then you could simply limit it by not having people queued together be able to honor each other or have these not count for the bonus; if it takes 5 honors to receive it, then it would have to be 5 people not in the party (same thing for the LP loss). Sure, people could fake being nice for a bit of a bonus, but if that person is receiving honors from teammates, then obviously people enjoy playing with them, so I don't see how the faking good behavior could be a point to disregard this.

Maybe this should go in "Gameplay" but eh.

EDIT: the downvotes are real. Can you also provide explanations as to why this won't work instead of simply downvoting? It would help the existence of posts like these...or rather the destruction of bad posts like these.

When it comes to adjusting LP for behavior, that's a pretty slippery slope. Where do you draw the line? Logistically, how will this play out? And most importantly, is this going to be made clear to all players? The implementation of this idea seems a little tricky. Not impossible I think, but rather difficult considering all the obstacles. You have a point though, there should be a better way to recognize positive players.

Right now, there's the Santa Baron icon from back in 2012 (which was briefly re-released in a later year) and the honor system and...that's about it honestly. Honor hasn't really done much for a lot of positive folks and I know that the PB team is looking at revising it. There are some plans to adjust honor and make it more accessible but afaik right now most of the Rioters are all working on the League Client Update. Let's hope we get some kind of update after the new client launches.

yeah thats fine but then the assholes on the team who suck dick and refuse to play as a team should be the ones who also lose LP and there should be a refusal to cooperate with team report option too.

I just played a game with khazic JG on our team who went 20/7/7, but he was the reason we had to carry. The piece of junk never left jg unless he could snipe a kill and went back to jungling.

the serious topic aside, you pay too much attention to the invites / downvotes. They don't mean anything other than increasing your e-pen.

If there is anything that will be implemented, it will be after the new client is out. For now they are going to keep everything hush hush in terms of behavior feature developments.
