LP Rewards For Behavior?
With Riot pushing League to be a team-based game, then I think that rewarding good behavior and punishing bad behavior in relation to rankings could be possible. Furthermore, with the current, pathetic reward for good behavior (a ribbon on the loading screen), honors in the post-game lobby are often disregarded and forgotten.
Perhaps if a teammate receives a penalty due to enough people reporting them, then that player small bit of LP and the toxic player's teammates receive a bit of LP. A bad teammate should recognize the errors made and the people who had to sit through it get mercy. Alongside that, if enough people honor a certain player, maybe they also receive a bit more (again, like 3 or so) for being such a good player and teammate.
There could be issues with people wanting to abuse this feature in dynamic queue for the extra LP, but then you could simply limit it by not having people queued together be able to honor each other or have these not count for the bonus; if it takes 5 honors to receive it, then it would have to be 5 people not in the party (same thing for the LP loss). Sure, people could fake being nice for a bit of a bonus, but if that person is receiving honors from teammates, then obviously people enjoy playing with them, so I don't see how the faking good behavior could be a point to disregard this.
Maybe this should go in "Gameplay" but eh.
EDIT: the downvotes are real. Can you also provide explanations as to why this won't work instead of simply downvoting? It would help the existence of posts like these...or rather the destruction of bad posts like these.
