I assume if someone is flaming another teammate it is because they are mad because they wanted to win, but by flaming their teammates they are decreasing their chances of winning. It doesn't make any sense. That's like asking your girlfriend if she wants to have sex, but calling her a bitch and telling her she sucks at it and then assuming this will make her more inclined to do it.
People just like to be right. If one person says something stupid to another person, then yuo can expect a witty response to be thrown back unless the player is demonstrating strict discipline. No one wants to look like they're the one that's wrong.
Could also be because they're going through something they usually don't have happen to them. For example, kiting a 1v2 lane = feels good. getting shit on 1v2 = feels bad.
Lol just last night I had a blitz smurf on my team kicking ass roaming, got us first blood, stole their red. Dude was killing it. Then he finally comes to bot lane about 5 minutes in, I'm ahead on cs by like 10 2v1ing their adc and support. Blitz sits in bush for a minute just waiting for a pull or something and out of nowhere just goes "this cait sucks so bad" (me). Like wtf? Lol I was ahead, by myself, I said nothing so far other than GJ after I saw we got first blood. I just go "well I may suck, but at least I'm crushing her in cs... and ur muted btw" ... muted him. Then i hear our team bitching, responding to nothing (so it must've been blitz talking more shit to them). I went 10-0 that game with highest damage to Champs in the game. Why would blitz do that?
There is no goal man. It's not to accomplish something. They just like insulting people and like to think that they just pissed someone off who thought they were good.
I didn't get pissed, I just muted and focused on the game... in post game chat I told him GJ roaming blitz, u kicked ass... but I did report you for all the flaming, that was fucked up. So I hope it was worth it for him to pointlessly insult people. Maybe he got a good laugh to himself, or maybe he's a miserable pos taking the game way too serious. Doesn't matter to me. Fuck him. Mute, report, move on.
It's probably venting mostly. At that point they think their teammate already sucks so getting their anger out is worth it.
After having 3 accounts banned by Rito, I've long since given up on playing to win. Now I only play to get other people tilted/banned. This is what they are doing.
