I recently reported someone and in the description box, I typed what time he said something toxic and EXACTLY what he said word for word in quotations so I made their job easier for them. Do they read the description box?
Weathered4 votesIts an automated system that will flag those phrases already. Riot will use those descriptions in the case that there is an issue or they need a reference, otherwise the algorythim will already do it.
Hryna1 votesI suggest you focus more on the context and background related things as they will have the access to the person's chat logs anyway. They do use descriptions in tricky cases.
Kartagia2 votesI do not think so. I have strong faith they do only have your chat, and no chat of others. Riot has take draconian interpretation that context of chat has no value, as they have got too much complaints that the worst flamers get free due report scoring system. For them, what other players do, is nothing. If 1 to 4 other players flame worse than reported player, it does not matter, as they did not report each other.
Riot has taken simple stance: it is easier to side with bullies than do things properly. Context is a female breeding dog, and Riot does not want to ban lots of players by screening chat of reporting players too. Riot does not want justice, but tool for vengeance.

Kartagia1 votesHmm. This is interesting as no support person can check the chat of anybody but reported player. Thus RIot is removing the talk from all context. I have had several times support admit they do not have game play info or chat of any other player but reported one. I wonder where Riot have those chats if their support or admin cannot access them.
Hryna1 votesYes, that's where description comes in handy, and since the report already contains the reported person's chat, it's redundant to state those things again in description, unless it requires a description.
Kartagia1 votesCan you tell me why then support cannot get that report info? Why support cannot check stats or actions or chat of other people while handling report? I think you are just trying to convince yourself Riot is doing good job when they are proving us they are not.
Hryna1 votesI didn't comment on the quality of the job they do, I just said what the description is used for in reports, when can it come in handy, and what is redundant to put in it.
Kartagia1 votesI do hope the description would be useful. I do use it, but I do not have much faith that EUNE support handling the stuff uses it. I am also not expecting it, as the vast number of reports would require way more human work to check than Riot is employing even globally.
Hryna1 votesTo be honest, I'm not expecting they use it either, and in majority of the cases they probably don't, but especially in the case of EUNE if someone is using another language I know I put it all in description. For example. I stopped using description on masse as a tool, now it's just occasionally writing something up that otherwise would not be obvious for person reading logs.

Reket DeAlk1 votesThey do check it, but it's a bit redundant to tell them what was said in the chat box when that's already checked. It's not really needed for chat related stuff unless you want Riot to check pre/post game chat. That stuff can be looked at but only when they get a notice to do so.
