Banning Hovered Champions -- This Needs to be Removed

You all already know what I'm talking about. You hover your champion, someone doesn't trust you to play with them on your team, they ban them, and you instantly know at least one of your teammates is a prick. It's different if you don't hover it, and if the other team bans it it's totally fair. But if I'm in normals just trying to have fun, banning my champion is just a dick move, and there's no reason to let kids keep doing this.

Please, Riot. What's the logic behind letting people ban champs if hovered? I know it shows if you're hovering on their screen, lots of people just don't care because they won't get punished.

Because there are some champs that become pick or ban during a meta, and if the chances of the enemy team picking the champ first is there, then sometimes it is better to ban it.

X: "Why did you ban Zac? He op." Y: "Because he is op and we don't have first pick."

Most of the time they are pricks, but sometimes they have have legitimate reasons. They may have played a matched or two and had that champ on their team feed and feed. This goes quadruple if it's an "OP" champ like Yasuo and they're thinking, "Great another feeder Yas".

Most of the time though, they're just being assholes. There are several ways to deal with this. You can fight fire with fire and not rush your ban. They wanna play that way, just ban their champ.

I'll admit though, this may not create the most positive environment.

Or just pick another champ, maybe make a comment like "I'm not nearly as good with this champ I hope I don't feed"

Do NOT actually int though as that's a dick move.

Or make a crazy pick for your role. A teammate banned my hovered champ once and I was like "Fine, I'm going Garen mid. Spin to win!"

I actually did really well that game. I struggled during laning phase as I was against Lux(little sisters can be crazy annoying) but caught up later and we ended up winning. And then the person who banned my first champ was like "That actually worked out pretty well, maybe I should always ban a teammates champ"

And then we all did that group laugh like at the end of a most kids cartoons. Ahahahahahaha! Ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

I suppose you could just not hover a champion to combat this?

Sorry but I'm sick of Yasuos and Rivens that don't actually know shit about their champion and feed with them most of the games.

I don't care if they do it in normals, fuck it they can even go full ad Janna top I couldn't care less but I'm not wasting my time and LP just to see a Yasuo be 0-10 and complain for 20 minutes about how our jungler sucks for not winning his lane.

I main Karthus, I have over half a million mastery with Karthus and have a 60% win rate over 300+ games with him in ranked this season. Yet when I hover him people can just ban my champion because they think hes bad. I wish Riot would fix this shit. I've been playing this game since before these ban happy pricks balls dropped and they can tell me what i can and can't play in champion select, especially in NORMALS. Like why is this a thing in norms, ranked I understand. But why can they ban my hovered champion in norms. I now hover mundo mid every game and will lock in mundo mid and build all blue items if they look up my account and ban my champion.

If you ask me, a smarter thing to do would ask if "is it ok for (banner) to ban your currently selected champion?" with a small popup similar to trades. so if you don't want them to ban it they can't ban it,but if you want to select something else you can say yes then it locks in the ban.

If they do that, then go blue shen or disco nunu it down mid. They need to remove the option to not ban a champion.
