"Leaver"buster

So yesterday I was in a key promo and was disconnected. Checked on my hardware; it was all fine. I attempted several times to restart the client to no avail. Texted some friends whom I knew had been online, they confirmed being logged and locked out. Today I have a lost series and a 5 game +10minute queue penalty. I believe it is RIOT who should be serving my sentence. Am I wrong?
