Plain and simple, it's a game! More and more people are telling people to kill themselves over a game!

These are people you don't even know, for all you know they could be the most horrible human being and they deserve It (which isn't for us to decide) or they could be the most kind hearted being you'll ever meet... but it doesn't fucking matter because you've made an instant enemy of them because you told them his mother should have aborted him.

The amount of toxicity this game creates is disgusting... I've gotten many people onto league, and I have seen almost all of them call their teammates trash, retarded, waste of air etc... they didn't used to be like that when they started...

Sorry the ideas are jumbled around, it's a rant.

Tell me, honestly, if anybody tells you to "kys", does it matter anything? OFC it doesn't, words are just words. Use the glorious mute button and play better, so they wont flame you again.

Seems like almost nobody understands how punishing flaming is totally pointless, we have the mute button for that. Yet Rito doesn't punish trolls and we have no tool to handle them as a player.....

Well.

If more and more people are telling people to kill themselves, and the community has actually shrunk, and we're assuming that we're not taking in a particularly large in-flux of players... then we can only really assume one of two things:

The players have started pissing each other off far more often and are breeding toxicity amongst themselves due to some sort of widening social schism, or
The game itself is breeding toxicity in players through unpleasant mechanics or interactions, making them more irritable and more likely to attack each other.

Since there's no real reason for a group of otherwise docile individuals to suddenly start becoming more hostile towards each other, then the only real conclusion is... the game is making people more hostile.

And considering how frustrating it's been lately with the near minimal control one can have over a game's flow, I would hazard to say that that's not inaccurate.

Name-calling is a form of negative reinforcement. People usually associate being berated with poor performance and will try harder to do well to avoid further negative consequences. However, the people that play this game are not normal. Instead of taking the negative reinforcement to encourage them to play better, they will be belligerent toward the person berating them and play just as badly as before. This attitude is awful and is the worst thing in the game. The most toxic players are the ones that think they're on the moral high ground. Next time someone tells you you should die because you're trash, think about what you've done instead of brushing him off or muting or raging. Instead, apologize for your poor performance and try to play better. You will make this game a much better place.

Ya I've experienced a few of those types myself. its annoying but in most cases best option is to mute and mark their names for report after game. other ideas are other players who are positive or see this in the chat can respond as well, just typing stop insulting the person or back off man those words are not required can help....hell you can even tell the player being insulted that they can mute and report the person after the game. its a team gae and a lot of others need to be able to back their teammates when someone does something like that. I had one game where I was called a feeding %%%% or something to that extent...funny thing was we came back and had double and triple kills fro both myself and the one insulting me...that was a priceless moment. overall just have a bit of patience and do the mute and report option until it gets ironed out. just my blurb on your rant here.
