Regarding the lockout of toxic players from the hextech crafting system
I know this will already cause a shitstorm on reddit because that's where the most toxic players dwell, so I would like to share my opinion about this here so I don't get downvoted to hell.
I think the wording is very poor on this. The exact quote I'm talking about is this: "If you're a player who is punished for toxicity or intentional feeding or so on, you can't get loot" This is gonna be the ranked reward stuff all over again. The most toxic people will read this and be like... "Ok, then I just spam normals now till my restriction is gone" flaming in normals doesn't get punished as hard, especially not if it's just the maximum of 5-15 messages that can possibly be flame. I know a guy in high plat who I duod with a few times who is a really toxic player. He had a 1200 match chat restriction for excessive flaming last season and still managed to get his ranked rewards although he didn't change a bit. The quote above is not even a warning for toxic players, it's just a reminder for them that they have to go down to the plebs and play normals for a while before they can start flaming in ranked again. If a player gets rid of his chat restriction (or gets lucky and his ban ends) one day before a reward gets distributed that player has in no way reformed... He just spammed games (or got lucky).
Even if reddit is gonna go mad, lock out all players that have received a hard punishment in the running season from the hextech crafting system. You will not lose more players from this than you already lost by making creepblock ridiculous or by making ADCs ridiculously strong or by introducing ranked bans or by nerfing xyz champion or buffing xyz champion... I could go on and on with this but if losing players is your concern this is just as minor as everything else.
TLDR: I feel like the punishment for toxic players is not hard enough, it should lock out all players that were punished for toxic behaviour during the running season from any rewards.
