Higher volume of 3rd party program bans than usual?

I was just wondering if the various complaints about unjust bans for 3rd party programs on forums are more common at the moment than is the standard.

I got permabanned for it, and I'm just curious whether I should care much about the appeal (I didn't use any, but I figure if it's not part of a larger misfire they don't have much reason to care about one person that people likely won't believe), so I'm just checking to see if there's any chance that something in their detection system is a bit off at the moment or not. Naturally, being that it's a 3rd party program ban, there's no reform card, so I can't really tell what the mistargeting was.

TL;DR: are more people getting banned randomly for 3rd party programs than usual, or should I expect standard reiteration copy-pastes?

They do these bans in large waves so that the cheaters are unable to figure out how they are getting caught and using the information to avoid detection. All the bans happening right now can have cases from a few months ago (or at least since whenever the last ban wave was).

It always seems like more people are complaining about it because of how fast these people will hit the forums thinking they can play the victim card, or that they "didn't know" people will always lie to get there account back, especially if they were dumb enough to buy it from another person.

While they rarely make mistakes on this there can be mishap. And if you truly believe you didn't do anything wrong you can always contact support till you get someone to actually help. Just know they won't give out any information like what programs might have caused the 3rd party ban. Also note that they usually group up all the 3rd party ban players with people who share account, bought account (which usually had someone used some type of hack/3rd party programs to get to that account like rank/champions/skins) so while your account might not have been ban for 3rd party it could have been related to that.
