There should be a way to report players that get autofilled and instalock YOUR ole

Just qued up with a friend who was in promos to have a teammate get autofilled support. They asked if they could top or jg, and I looked up their stats to see how they looked and it was pretty grim, so i politely declined. They then proceeded to instalock jungle. There should be a possible way to report this behaviour. Possible solutions could be things like if you want to swap roles with a player, similar to swapping champions, there could be a button that allows you to swap and ASK for a role. This certainly wouldnt work all the time, but maybe you could block out smite so they cant take your jg.

I dunno, im a little worked up having to dodge for selfish players.

You uh... Don't lock a role. You lock a champion. It's literally not possible to lock a role, unless they've changed champion selection recently.

Technically you're given a role to lock a champion specific to that role. So you kinda "lock" a role to pick a champ for that role. Just assuming since im given the choice to pick my roles and have a small chance for auto fill. If the game says im support even though i generally pick mid or bot. That's your role in that given game.

Well, keep in mind that champions aren't locked to a specific role. It's not like if you pick amumu you have to go jungle, for example.

If someone locks a non-meta champion for their role, it doesn't mean they've locked whatever role the champion normally plays. Unless they explicitly tell you they're taking your role, you have no evidence that they're taking your role until you get in game and they actually do.

Then picking your role feature should be taken out if ultimately anyone can just take others roles even without saying something.

They can't. But they haven't stolen a role until the game starts. While they can be abusive in chat in pregame lobby, they have not actually stolen the role until the game starts and they play a role other than the one assigned.

Riot has taken a stance of punishing harder toxicity of this sort (threatening to steal role) in lobby. It isn't punished as trolling, still as chat offenses, but it can be more severe than run of the mill toxicity sometimes.

I feel there is more to this. I understand people do this but if he asked and you "politely" declined then he just takes it you could just take his role if the game is that important for you to win or in your case just dodge.
