People need to stop taking normal games seriously

I'm a MasterYi jungle onetrick who like to practice other roles/champs in blind pick and from my recent experience playing some mid lane assassins that I'm obviously not experienced with (specifically Talon and Kassadin) my performance hasn't been too hot; is it kind of expected but what bothers me is that some people (mainly Silver players) often resort to such unnecessary comments as "9x this ape mid" or "how are u even plat omg". if I'm playingYasuo it's a whole different story...

Point is, it's okay if you play to win in normal games or "tryhard" but do NOT expect others to do the same; most people play normals to practice new champs/role or try out off-meta shit so don't expect em to be playing at their fullest potential.

For real, if you seek competitiveness go play solo queue.

Could you please stop taking games not seriously? It doesnt matter if its URF, ARAM, dominion, definitively not dominion, one for all or a normal or a ranked. I play to win. And most of the players i know are here to play competetively. And all of them get pissed af if someone throws the match or trolls, because your wasting theyr time. Its obviously uncalled for if you train on champs or try new roles in normal, because thats what they are there for. But for a general understanding, if you take a champ the first time, it better be an ARAM or a AI bot game, because as said bevore, you would be wasting your teammates time, and for me personaly, im not happy about a match if my enemy cant play his champ.

Have you tried telling them you main jungle and are learning new roles/champs? When it has happened to me and adc. I usually jist say. "Sorry, this is my least played role. ;-;" or "I have no idea what I'm doing with this champ yet." If they happen to ask what I normally play, I tell them. "Support is my main role. Tanky tops second."

I agree that the flaming is unwarranted in normals or any type of game mode. However you should understand that you are wasting your teammates time if you aren't doing so hot yourself. If you are picking up new champs then go to AI bots first, then head to normals. Also, mute the chat if they become hostile. I know you're playing the best as you can and that's fine. Consider your teammates is all i'm saying.

your whole defense of this logic is flawed if you are not playing well or fall perpetually behind and leave your team in the lurch you are gaining nothing valuable from a practical since or in terms of practice. This game no matter what mode and unranked or not is based on a competitive outlook. You cannot practice anything if you get so behind your lane opponent is diving you from full.

For example I am new and do not even have enough champs to do ranked yet I want to. Have to farm ip though and I still try my best because I learn nothing valuable by not if the goal is to learn... You have no valid argument to play bad or not try and waste people's time in this type of game. You may do bad cause everyone has games that are or try a silly build that is less than optimal within reason (not ap fiora or something troll) but you cannot just borderline int and say it is norms so it is fine that is ridiculous.

All the people who say you are ruining their time probally never play ranked cause they can't handle the pressure and that is why normal is the only thing they have. For me normals are also just to have some fun and try out new stuff and I don't care too much about the other players. Let them cry and just mute them, as long you are not afk, raging back or running it down mid they have no valid reason to report you so don't worry. And the times that you tryhard in a normal the other team starts complaining about tryharding or it is a 15 min surrender so it is never ok :D.

practicing roles is done in bots and the practice tool

practicing that role in a semi competitive environment is done in blind and draft where you take your mediocre style and builds that you previously practiced.

ranked is competitive/one trick trolling

the problem is it's a slippery slope from "it's just bots" to "it's just URF" to "it's just normals" to "it's just flex" to "its just bronze" even if you play something off meta "horay for soraka top" you should be expected to play 100% seriously if you're not in a custom game. also, there was a time when normal draft splashed MMR into ranked, and some people might not know that's no longer the case
