Honor System Coming off to a Great Start

Not getting those honor kudo's for telling the team "lets do this!" and "we can win guys!"

Instead I get a good old chat restrict from games that were in the past. Did the focus on the new honor system prevent the punishment from happening beforehand? And Riot's take on assisting people to reform is the worst, because they don't give them anything to help them. All toxic players get is a "Turn all chat off ye' scrub" and "/mute the whole team cause that'll help you!" When multiple times I've been willing to disable chatting in general if they allowed it.[slayer-jinx-unamused]

I don't think the honor system would affect whether you'd be punished or not; that's always based off your actions. Did you go down in honor level?

I agree. The fact we have people actually ENCOURAGING /mute all is a FUCKING PROBLEM . This behavior is equally as disruptive as the guy shouting out racial slurs. it makes life hell for people who actually choose to attempt communicate with the team.

It makes it so people waste time trying to type to people who cant see. Because generally speaking, people don't tell you that you've been muted.

The persom who mutes all can't see important things in chat.

If a person figures out they've been muted. They will often resort to gameplay trolling. Which even the mildest forms of are worse then anything that can be said in chat. So you indirectly contribute to toxicity by muting from the get go

It creates a culture where ignoring the problem is better than trying to fix it

Gotta love people spam disliking my post when all I did was point out something and ask why it happened, and why /mute all shouldn't have to be a choice for me, because I want to communicate in a team game....

The dilemma with /muteall vs. toxicity is that /mute is meant to be the last resort to deal with display of toxicity (which is out of your control - as in, we can't control whether another players is being toxic). However, some/many people use /mute as a excuse for toxicity: i.e. "if you don't want to see me calling you an idiot, why don't you mute?"

I feel that Riot shouldn't be responsible for correcting player behaviors. They're actively TRYING to because they want to create a friendly environment for their player base, but ultimately each individual player is responsible for their OWN behavior. /muteall is just the last option to deal with toxicity.
