So what if your toxic, you should be able to get banned for 1 year.. Then 5 or even 10. But for life is so un called for, maybe you may wanna pick up your old league of legends account a bunch of years down the road, and 10 year bans would surely clear the toxic players out..
I agree with Riot's policy of banning terrible human beings who cannot take a hint. If you don't want to play by the rules you agree to then you'll have a problem. It's as simple as that.
Riot is in the business of making money. They are a company in a Capitalist World. They would not exist if they could not make money.
When people ruin games for others (by being a dick, by hacking, by leaving every game they can, by running scripts, etc.), they cause Riot to lose money. This is because people who do not have fun are much less likely to spend money on the game.
Because Riot wants money, they ban people who ruin the game for others
If you are toxic then you should get a chat restriction, not a ban from the game. Honestly, I didnt see a problem with this in MW2 4 years ago and the community didnt care about toxic people, I guess we just have a new breed of babies and SJWS.
If chat restrictions and temporary bans are obviously not working on spoiled brats, then permanent ban is only logical solution.
I had more than 6.000 games chat restriction (at the same time i had a medal of honor "teamwork" how hironic is that xD ) but never ever 2 weeks ban or smthng like htat.
Changing my attitude brought me to 5 months without a single report, higher elo, and ofc medal of honor again.
I want you to know guys, the lower the elo, higher is the possibility of getting reported for nothing, higher the possibilities to rage for nothing, higher the possibilities to get banned.
Also i think we need to re-evaluate -as i already said to riot by e-mail- what this " verbal abuse" really is.
If someone tells you "WTF BROOO !!! WHY FOCUS THE FCKN GAREN GO FOR VAYNE FFS!!!" in the HEAT of the game IT IS REALLY NOT A REASON TO REPORT HIM. I mean.. wtf are you? 5 years old? You can;t get offended -in my opinion ofc- by things like that in an action game when you are literally sweating from adrenaline. And i say this ofc cause I myslef got reported back in the last season cause i said "Dont focus the fckn tank ffs!!!" ok i said "fckn" ok I said "ffs" COMME ON xD it is not an actuall insult. Why should someone take it personally?
To understand the value of something compare it with other things. if just saying "fckn" is insulting, then what is the "go to hell you fckn piece of sh--t i hope you die!!!" ?
Not all things are the same. Is it as getting the same punishment if you steal a bread or doing a bank robbery. I mean, you re a thief in both cases but the punishment can't be the same.
And believe me fellows when I say that for riot, the NUMBER of the reports counts, not the actuall quallity. I experianced it myself. In silver i got reported for NOTHING, i got reported for saying things like " i hate you when u solo honestly". So if you encounter more than one crybaby in low elo everygame who reports you for nothing -literally- you have like 10 to 15 reports in 10 games for no reason at all. So you either stop using chat -which is really usefull in my opinion and you shouldn't" or you have to pay more attention in which way you ll say something so crybabies wont cry about it, report you and put a +1 at your file, than the actual game itself.
When u have like 100 reports you actually thing that a riot employ will investigate 100 games chat loggs to see if you flame or not?? LMAO NO :'D. NO!!
the fact that 100 people reported you is enough for riot, but i strongly believe that it isn't right. cause at those 100 reports there is a possibility of only 25 of them are honest and fair. Once i got 4 reports from 4 premades cause as a first pick at draft i picked mid o.O . 4 in one game.
If you dont send a ticket to riot support they will not search it out to see if you deserved those reports or not. And that makes sense.
Anyway sorry for talking too much, my point is that report system works, but not in a healthy way, so i Agree with the op. Perma ban for toxic is not good, cause honestly, i don't trust Riot definition of "verbal abuse", kids will spamm it, and they cant always ditect it ofc.
Ban them from ranked for 10 years and from chat. Not from their account.

That's why the community and Riot takes these kinds of things very seriously, as the vast majority of us don't want to play with or against a player whose main/only interest is being a jerk when things don't go their way.
Besides, people have 3 chances to reform and clean up their act before getting permabanned from the game. If they choose not to get the hint and get permabanned because of their poor behavior then that's their problem and not ours.
