peoples attitudes on hextech crafting and selective removal

Riot if you were to decide to remove hextech crafting from everyone who complained about it i will 100% stand behind that decision.

i am pretty tired of seeing people complain about being handed free stuff.

people complain in game

people complain after game

people complain on the boards

complainers everywhere

I'm not even the one handing out the free hextech crafting and this is really bothering me, i can only imagine how anyone who has made the decision to give hextech crafting to us must feel about this.

The internet exists for people to complain. If you want people to not complain, go meet league players irl.

I'd love it if people didn't act entitled, but I don't really think that's a reason to punish them.

i agree

it's not a punishment though...

this is something extra that riot does not have to give, so if people are ungrateful then riot simply doesn't give it

not giving an inch and taking an inch are two very different things

not giving an inch (incentives) : riot doesn't have to give you anything extra for free at all

taking an inch (punishment) : this would include things like bans and restrictions

even if hextech were removed from the accounts of the ungrateful, it is not a punishment, they still would keep anything they had got through the hextech crafting, so therefore, they are still given undeserved incentive

also, i am just putting out my point of view / thoughts on the matter, i am sure there could be better ways to have people see that this isn't something earned, but something given, honestly, i dont see another way if you know or can think of a way to achieve this while being more fair and reasonable than i am being i am open to such suggestions

thank you

It definitely does depend on how you present it. In the Juggernaut changes Garen lost 33% of his spin damage when hitting multiple targets. Garen players, myself included, hated it.

The wording was changed to say it is a 33% damage increase to solo targets. Most people seem fine with it now.

Still, I'm not sure the reasoning behind this idea works. Who gets to decide what players are acting entitled? What happens with cases of sarcasm, or playing devils advocate? Riot is fully within their right to do what you're saying, however I think it would be more of a headache to them than a boon in the long run.
