Another way to report toxicity.

We need a way to report comments straight as they are said. Put in some kind of onhover in the chat that let you flag a comment. After a certain ammount of flags, the player should receive an automatic warning. On that warning, the player should be investigated and banned if the flags are valid. Invalid flags on investigation should be flagged against the player who did it. (This will prevent the issue of flagging everything)

Here is what motivates my request today:

I spend hundreds of dollars on this game every year because I think its a good game and it's worth investing into.

Although, I am at a breaking point in my gaming experience where I find myself questionning going on playing this game because the community is mostly made up of toxic people. I beleive that the mute and report system is the wrong way to go. Of course, if (well, I should say when because, don't kid yourself, it will happen) you run into a toxic player, you can mute him and report him at the end of the game. The problem is that wont fix his behaviour.

It's like thinking that if go play a team sport and you get bullied, putting on earplugs and leave a note to the coach on the notes board will make it allright. It most definetly will not. If I go any place and get bullied, i'll confront the person by politely asking him to stop. If he does not stop, i'll get out of there and have fun elsewhere. I have better to do than waste time on a bully who does not respect anyone.

I can't do that in this game though. If I decide that his behaviour is not welcoming and I leave, not only will he be unaffected, but I am the one that will get banned for not accepting his attitude.

The proof that the system is flawed is that most people encounter a toxic player about once every 2 games. And the comments are not in the like of ''You are bad''. People say thing like ''KYS IRL'' and go on like it's nothing. This is a dangerous thing to say to some people. It's completely unacceptable.

Don't just warn them if the investigation proves them guilty of toxicity. BAN them a week. If it happens again, ban them for life. Let them level up another account to level 30 before they get to rank in the nice players game. Maybe they'll learn, or maybe they'll just stop playing. This toxicity is making your game less attractive. Make it stop.

Then you run the risk of double dipping in a punishment. Shoudl the warning in game mean they get off scott free in the post game lobby? If I have been flagged anyways and probably punished, why shouldn't I go balls to the wall (is that the correct phrase? If so now I wanna know how it came to exist) and just go crazy?

You either will remember what they said or you won't and the system will scan the entire log. The only thing I could see this being remotely useful for is flagging "I'll int/troll/etc" for a sooner manual review.

First offense for a "kys" offense usually results in a 14 day ban and thin ice for a perm one.
