What to do when you meet a toxic player.

Hi if your reading this I am gonna tell you what to do when you meet a toxic player. In a game i found a Xin Zhao who when 2/8/5 i was playing as Master Yi in the Jungle with 500-1000 ms. I said that i have lag before the game when into the 1 minute mark, and I went 1/10/2 i was playing with a friend BJMAN69 I could never gank because i was lagging in because they game was slowed and i was jumping around the entire screen. So now i am gonna show you the entire conversation leaving a few deatils because i can't remember all of what was said.

Me: Sorry, i have 890 ms Xin Zhao: Yeah right noob yi can't do shet Me: Dude let up i said i have lag. Xin Zhao: noob is noob NOTHING can change that saying that you have lag as an excuse BJMAN69: Xin stop flaming he has lag if you had lag and someone said what you just said to you would you be happy? Xin Zhao: Shut up Me: Dude if you keep flaming you WILL be reported for hate speech and unsportman ship conduct. (I had lag so the unsportman ship conduct does not apply to me)

So yeah, what i just did later was to just mute him and reported him after the game. So i want your opinion what do you think about toxic players and i want you to tell me if i should have reported him?

If they're on the enemy team?

Easy. Report them, move on. Mute them ingame, if they're toxic in /all chat.

If they're on my team?

Easy. Report them, move on. Mute them ingame, if they're toxic in regular chat, or /all chat.

I'm pretty much at the point where I have conditioned myself to basically think that every single person in the game is toxic unless they prove otherwise, which is why I mute everyone when the game starts.

Join up with him and be toxic towards whoever BMed first, unless it's ranked then I mute both.

This is against the rules and is punishable, I have seen people banned for less.

Threatening to report someone and calling them a flamer, even if true are against the summoner's code. If he reported you and friend after match you would be guilty of the same crime as him.

In the future use the mute function before you break the rules yourself, be wary of trolls who bait you into breaking the rules with them because while you may get their smurf banned it may be at the high cost of your main.
