Tarzaned calling for a reworked punishment system.

I saw a recent video by this player, and I feel the same. In short, the video features a player who uses no chat, but generally ruins the game by playing in an unmistakably terrible way for minutes. He taunts his team, takes gold, engages poorly, doesn't cs, and neglects to support the team in a high pressure game. I post this cause I feel a similar way. With the way the system is now, players have a lot of power to ruin games without consequence, because as far as I can tell without a chat log there's no way to catch them. Time is wasted, a game is ruined, and in the case of ranked LP is wasted. It's frustrating.

It's really ironic considering that Tarzaned has openly claimed to troll before. Don't forget that time he said he hopes all Janna players get "fucking lynched."

Is that in the past? Yes.

I don't know enough about Tarzaned's current behavior to consider him reformed or not, but he's already discredited himself on multiple occasions.

I'm not the type of person to follow that trend (of discrediting people for past actions / always assuming the worst of them) but the points he's making aren't even correct.

** Yes**, this Lee Sin would be subject to punishment if/when the game was reviewed. People forget that the system is nearly-incapable of consistently identifying AFKing, trolling, intentionally feeding, and soft inting, so the games have to be manually reviewed, which takes time.

Like, a lot of time.

Tarzaned need to be punished even before this guy.

It sucks that you're eating downvotes for this, when you just want to talk.

So I watched part of the video, and while it makes sense to punish that in master, what would riot do in bronze? I see stuff like that in bronze all the time.

Being bad's punishment is dropping LP. There are no further needed to punish them.

Agreed, sadly, without peer review, games and players like that take far longer to catch.

I fully agree with you. Regardless of what anyone else does or what people here are accusing you of, all players like this lee should be punished.

Honestly though I think that the system for reports must change. Chat banning is utterly pointless. There are some games out there that allow team members to kick trolls, or toxic members. There are some that show the player's stats (such as win to loss ratio and how many reports they have or if they have been punished already) which would allow members to decide if they want such a player on the team with them.

Personally, I think having the option to report and marking the player as a "troll" would get so many marks before they are put into a low priority queue and the timer increases with the number of reports, but to avoid this being abused, by players who just want to report everyone for any dumb reason, it should be on a voting system and has to be reported by a minimum of 3 players on that persons team and it has to happen that way a certain number of times for it to add a "mark" to their record.

It's not perfect, but anything to make the punishment system actually valuable would vastly improve the game's experience. Currently, it feels (by most of the players) that this game has virtually no system of punishment for troll players who throw the game. Even people who are verbally toxic only get chat bans (which are pointless because they still get to chat, just less often, and we all have a mute button anyways) and it has to happen a dozen times before anyone gets a real ban and they just make a new account anyways.

Why does that require a system rework rather than improvement? The system is bad at catching Inting, okay. No reason to scrap the rest...
