can you be banned for quoting somebody?

in the post-game chat I said "this ornn was toxic af"

they ask what he said, and I responded with "he called us "childlike %%%ggottt asssesss" and "nigggerssss"

the hecarim on the other team immiediately responds "reported for calling him toxic"

would the system actually ban me for this?

Yes. Repeating hate speech such as the words you used can get you punished.

Hate speech should never, NEVER be used in League. Mute, report yourself, and move on. There’s no need for other people to know how toxic he was. Your report will get him punished.

People have been banned for it, but I'm pretty sure you can contest it with a Support Ticket.

for what reason do you need to tell anyone what he said? Your team already saw it and the enemy probably don't care. Your one single report will get him reviewed by the IFS. The only reasons to quote that are 1) get the enemy team to report that person (harassment) or 2) embarrass that person. Either one are considered toxic behaviors.
