in the post-game chat I said "this ornn was toxic af"

they ask what he said, and I responded with "he called us "childlike %%%ggottt asssesss" and "nigggerssss"

the hecarim on the other team immiediately responds "reported for calling him toxic"

would the system actually ban me for this?

Yes. Repeating hate speech such as the words you used can get you punished.

Hate speech should never, NEVER be used in League. Mute, report yourself, and move on. There’s no need for other people to know how toxic he was. Your report will get him punished.

People have been banned for it, but I'm pretty sure you can contest it with a Support Ticket.

for what reason do you need to tell anyone what he said? Your team already saw it and the enemy probably don't care. Your one single report will get him reviewed by the IFS. The only reasons to quote that are 1) get the enemy team to report that person (harassment) or 2) embarrass that person. Either one are considered toxic behaviors.

The system doesn't see postgame chat, so you wouldn't be banned.

I have seen claims that say otherwise and I believe those; post game chat is also analyzed by the IFS automated chat analysis.

And as answer to the OP's question; Yes, you might be punished for quoting a comment that is punishable by the IFS system. The system isn't smart.

Not sure where you've seen those claims, but it doesn't. The only way the OP would be banned for anything said pre/post game is from a manual review.

It seems you are correct. IFS doesn't analyze it. Only manual check (which is most likely extremely rare) can use it. So that drops the effectiveness of IFS a lot. Source here.

Riot, that is something you should fix asap - imo even more asap than adding a pre-game lobby reporting option. Pre-game lobby reporting option idea was nice thing to see but pre/post game chat log analysis by IFS is more important. Big part of toxicity I detect is in the post game lobby and I have reported those a lot. It is quite sad to realize that those reports have done nothing, except maybe flagged me as a false reporter instead, which your system) supports.
