why is there so much toxicity in one for all of all possible gamemodes?
seriously. I've played roughly 4 games and ALL OF THEM have had at least one guy throw a tantrum cuz he didn't get his pick. it wasn't like this last time. wtf happened?

It may be that people don't want to actually play it, but do so for the mission. I played it specifically for the mission, and found it to be a very unfun experience.
Several reasons
That, or people get stuck playing high-skill champs and get raged at by the one guy who actually wanted it.
Perhaps the missions enticed people to play, who don't enjoy playing that mode?
Just my first guess.
It was like that last time.
Why? Lol... "why"
Because you have players that vote to play shaco, when nobody else wants to play him but of course miraculously get picked. Instead of some really legit champions that could get picked like malphite, everyone wants to play zed.
To each their own, I guess I'm just not an assassin type guy
I also don't get why people would throw a tantrum but it's also not fun to get Blitz in every other game because people have seen a video about chain hooks and want to recreate it.
Its one of the backdraws to one for all, sometimes you don't feel like playing Ornn for the 5th time. Not an excuse for toxicity, but I can see someone being frustrated when getting stuck playing someone they don't want to in a "fun" mode.
I kind of got bored of the mode again within 2-3 games. Only finished the missions across my accounts for the rewards and thats it.
I havent had that yet, but I have had people on the enemy team acting like the game is life or death and start bming the entire game after having 5 man garen, rammus, or sona against my team of squishy sand
I've played... way too much ofa these past few days. I've noticed people, who's picks GOT PICKED, want to surrender all because they're doing the worst on the team or because we're losing instead of winning.
Heck, I had a game where two people wanted to play Vayne. Why? Because they were mastery 7 and mastery 6. Unfortunately, Vayne got picked. The mastery 7 did the worst on the team. Who were we against? Fiddlesticks. One of the ones who wanted Vayne then wanted to surrender, because we were losing so badly.
I also had a Raka ofa, we were against Yasuo. 1 tank Raka, 2 adc Raka, and 1 support Raka for each adc Raka. The Yasuo who wanted Yas was doing bad, so a few on his team actually got mad at him for doing badly and actually voiced it. Me and the guy were talking in all chat, and he literally seemed like a nice guy. One of the guys got mad that they lost when he had an internet issue.
Even had a Swain ofa where the one random on my team was so pissed we were "wasting his time with Swain", that he went in the jungle, went ad and... never once helped. He ganked once, it failed, he never tried to gank again. We lost against Nami all because that one guy decided to troll since he didn't want to play Swain.
That's ofa basically. People being toxic because they're doing bad on their pick, wanting to surrender because their pick is doing bad, or trolling because they hate the pick.
All I can say is, if you hate the pick just dodge. Or, better yet, don't play ofa. Unless 3 or 4 people are set on one champ, it's random who the game is gonna grab.
I haven't noticed a difference? I might be at a different MMR than you and most of the time, people are super supportive with each other because they know not everyone is used to the particular champ and try to encourage each other and share tips.
Because these are the votes
and we play
or
and we play
I agree, I was under the impression it was meant for a bit of fun. Just left a game where I picked Rakan (now, clearly not going to steamroll every enemy team, but with all the jumping and dashes I think he can be a hilarious champ in this mode) and another player agreed enough to throw a vote that way too. Lux on the other team, however, was pretty oppressive. Despite that, I cannot believe the hate and afking that my pick generated! I get that some people just want to get fed and carry all the time on OP champs, but I think a game which could have been entertaining, or at least mutually endured (Lux Q chain = evil) in a joking manner, was ruined by people basically getting salty about the "waste of their time". Thought this mode was supposed to be fun and lighthearted! EDIT: though maybe I expect a little too much of this community
IDK. All i have seen is people spamming galio.
Had this earlier today with someone complaining about our team getting kai’sa.
Idk toxicity just seems to be anywhere now a days, regardless of whether or not players are having a bad game/day or having(or not) fun.
