League of Legends - A Haven for hatespeech?

Toxicity runs rampant and no one seems to ever be punished for it. It seems unless a majority of the players in a game report a player riot doesn't care. It seems as though a players actions including hate speech are encouraged by Riots lack of action. Perhaps I'm mistaken but after six years i have to wonder why bother following the summoners code if there is no punishment for not doing so? How toxic is too toxic for Riot? At what point will it finally be enough?

These people were on the boards TODAY complaining about being permabanned. Just because you don't get a notification, doesn't mean they weren't punished. Though I wish that notification would come up more often.

Edit: One of those may have just been a chat restriction, in that case my bad. But you still get the point. These types of posts come up every day.

Read any chat logs on this board to know how toxic is too toxic.

Do you not see how many people come here saying hey said nothing wrong yet chatlogs prove otherwise?

But honestly people do need to report that person for any action to be place. Its just how it works.

There is no virtue in being virtuous if you are afraid of punishment... true virtue comes with not commiting a crime when you know you can get away with it.

Play one game of CS:GO. Just 1. You'll come back begging for LoL.
