"KYS" vs "kill yourself"

Riot,

You claim to not take context into the situation, then how does your system differentiate between these two lines? Allegedly, one results in an immediate ban. Fair enough. "KYS" is likely used in toxic situations. However, players that type it out, "kill yourself," are allowed to continue playing, even if they are using it in the toxic context. Now, you'll likely go into some defense about how "kill yourself" can be used to tell a player (champion) to suicide instead of dying to the enemy team, but both "kys" and "kill yourself" can be equally toxic. I had a player tell me to "kill yourself" in the game, and I reported. Several games later, still playing. I'm curious to see how you attempt to defend this.

Now, I won't downvote but I would assume that typing KYS or kill yourself would both be detectable by the system!

The player you dealt with probably was just doubling down to try to annoy you more. They can receive a ban and stay logged into the client, they just can't hit the play button while banned.

Both phrases are zero tolerance, so Riot's system likely picked it up regardless of whether or not you were notified.

For those of you downvoting, feel free to explain your reasoning.

Also, the player added me after, and I entertained his request, for shts and giggles. I have some nice screenshots of the chat, as well. He also spent a good 2-3 minutes spam typing "still here." Lovely player base, Riot.

He wasnt struck...yet. He will get his soon enough. Toxic people tend to be narcissistic so they think if they get away with one game they can get away with em all. Means they dont calm down.

As for you. Going on such a psycho trip over one guy on the net to insult you cuz he needs you to go down to his level raises red flags. Just report, block and be done with it. They arent worth your attention and they sure as fuck arent worth your temper. You can be better than them. So be it.

Riot actually punishes you on both words "kys" and "kill yourself" both are no tolerance words. If someone report you during the game when you said either one gets you a punishment, first time offender only get a 10 game chat restriction. One guy on here got banned for saying kill yourself to a teammate on aram then clarified he was refering to dying to turret for execute in that chat he had to come to the boards and make a ticket to get unbanned, and even then the rioter was still blaming the guy for using that word PERIOD because there a no tolerance punishment on it. Edit: I also downvoted because the question seemed really stupid.
