Since when has the "X: respawning in Y seconds" and the "X: Alive" ping been not toxic?

It's just been used to "remind" a teammate that they fucked up so they spam the "X: respawning in Y seconds" ping and when a teammate doesnt participate in a teamfight to go splitpush and that ends up costing the game, they will spam the "X: Alive" ping to remind them how useless they are.

Now, when I try to use those pings for good like reminding my team that the ADC hasn't respawned yet so we can't baron and when i do ping it, the ADC gets a little angry.

Those pings are mostly there for toxicity. At least the infamous "enemies missing" ping is used to tell your team that the enemy laner is missing and that they should be careful.

It's kinda sad that those two pings are used purely for toxicity now when they were meant for informing your team.

Chat, pings, and emotes are tools. They are not toxic; rather, the user is.

Honestly you were downvoted but it is an epidemic. In my low elo games it's 90% used as harassment and 10% used to remind others that the enemy is respawning. It'd be cool to only be able to ping yourself and the enemy really. No need to ping someone else when they can do it themselves. So if you die, you can still ping that you are respawning soon. If your Rammus dies and you need him it's easier to say wait for rammus.

Standing on the verge of a team fight and your carry is dead, you ping it to remind people you're down the person for X amount of seconds.

You can use it to remind your team that someone is spawning soon so they know they don't have to back to defend, as a way to tell your team not to fight because someone is dead, ETC.

Simple fix to that: only allow enemy players to be pinged. Quite simple.

Example of how it can be useful Someone playing Soraka and is dead. Their team is fighting Pings ult - Ready Pings self - respawn in 4s

Example 2: Enemy jungler is alive while you are doing baron/dragon without your jungler alive even though you have the numbers advantage Ping enemy lee sin - alive to let your team know that it may backfire
