OK, so what exactly is with censoring stuff despite the chat filter being off?

I get censoring stuff by default, it's sensible as many people are way over sensitive and just as many don't care how many people they offend in chat. Censoring things when the chat filter is turned off though is a bit ridiculous. It pretty much defeats the purpose of having the ability to turn off the chat filter to begin with. If I wanted to be shielded from things Riot thinks (incorrectly) might offend me, I would have the chat filter on.

If you just turned off the chat filter, there used to (I think still is) one in game and one in client. Make sure both are off, then restart the client.

Things should not be censored at all if the filter is off. This is unless Riot changed it to censor hate speech all the time. I think that is a very good thing if they did. Hate speech has no place in game and people using it should not even be given the validation of it being seen by others.

If your chat is still being censored then the filter isn't off; there is no automatic censor beyond that. Try using the in-game command /chatfilter.

If you have filtering off there are no words that are censored, re-check your settings.

Turn it on, and it will be off. It did that for me too, sometimes it's really confusing.
