here's what normally happens at low elo games

: can i top i cant sup : nah i cant support either (me as a smart person who wants to win): nah its fine ill dodge : wtf dont : dont dodge we'll win (picks aatrox support): i'll troll (last seconds of champ select) : f*ck you

now what is wrong with dodging if in the match we have a troll support and already an argue going on. its 10 times smarter to dodge than play the game and report each other at the end. i want as many as possible to see this since its so stupid to rage for some one dodging a game.

also you should start dodging yourself if there are trolls already in the lobby, like wtf its a free win for the enemy and you lose lp for not doing it like please dont deny that

if you think otherwise then just say it change my mind.

It's better to play out the game. Report the trolls. Let the trolls get themselves banned.

By dodging, trolls win, you have to wait, trolls don't get banned. If they're trolling and game hasn't started yet, they obviously want someone to dodge.

Trolls who are trying to get people to dodge, clearly know how to win. They'll get you to dodge and waste your time. You won't have a chance to report because you didn't play.

Just because someone is trolling on champion select doesn't mean they suck at LoL or they'll intentionally feed. They're trolling on champion select because they don't want to wait after dodging, so they're trying to dodge by proxy.

If you are the troll's proxy dodger, the troll has won. You just did their bidding.

Aatrox supp can work on paper. It becomes a game of chicken. Either you dodge, someone dodges, or the troll dodges. If the game loads, then it is a coin flip. Either they will troll or they will play normally with what they have.

And the actual point goes right over the head. What good is a champion designed as a support if the player can't utilize it? Is a Blitzcrank/Thresh a reliable support if they fail to land a single hook all game? Is the Janna/Lulu a reliable support when they fuck up their cooldowns or shield/ult the wrong person?

If he actually knows Aatrox, maybe a fair bit. He does offer CC with the sweet spots of his Q, a slow and pull back with W, and a safe diving buddy with the ult.

I am not saying it would necessarily be good, but on paper it is viable.

Can you predict someone's jungle path or KDA based on a couple of jokes in Champ select? Can you gauge mechanical skill from a few words typed in champion select?

You honestly can't tell how good or bad someone is based on what someone types. You can make a guess or assumption at most.

Are you the best person on your team 100% of the time? If you're not, then it's reasonable to say the best player on your team might be that troll. It's definitely a possibility.

Except that if you're about that ELO and your RANKED stats, dodging loses you nothing but LP instead of ELO. Playing with a troll and already committing to a loss (for the sake or reporting them later) is just plain stupid. You're already wasting your time by playing with them (even more time by having to play out a game and they sure as hell not surrendering early), while a dodge costs you 5 and then 15 minutes. More if you continue to dodge.

Furthermore, dodging isn't only reserved for trolls, it's also reserved for overall bad team comps that people commit to playing. Of course that you can't change their mind by having them play something viable so you dodge the game, if you're not even sure you'll win.

Play out the game and lose: You lose 15-20 LP...waste 15+ minutes of your time (probably more considering that the troll probably won't agree on an early surrender), you'll tilt, want to flame the troller and possible get yourself in trouble or lose honor because of that. All in all it's not worth it

Play out and win: Sure...you win the LP but is it worth the frustration? Playing with a troll on the team is never fun.

Dodging: Lose 3LP and a small wait timer for next game but don't have to put up with a troll.

Even in Normals, just dodge if there's a troll pick. It's not worth you getting upset and flaming a teammate because of a stupid pick. It shouldn't be about "the troll wins" attitude. Who cares...I'm dodging so I won't tilt and so I can have a good game

Ok, just be aware you are enabling their behavior. Not many people get upset over the trolls in the games, especially in normals, it's the damn place to troll. For me dodging is admitting you are scared and upset over a game, I don't do that. xD Guess it all comes down to what we value most. Time, Ego, Fun, Rank. I value my Ego and reporting the trolls more than (maybe) losing A GAME (where I am sure to have fun anyway since everyone will surely blame the troll and i'm gonna have fun with all the frustration of the tiny keyboard warriors).

And I am always glad, when people dodge the troll lobby, I do it myself in last second, but fortunately there are other smart people doing this before me.

I encourage people to dodge if they don't like how the draft is going. I'd rather move on to the next game than have someone on my team who has given up before the game even starts because they don't like the draft. That's just a recipe for a toxic player.

What I DON'T encourage is people asking someone else to dodge. that is where I get pissed off.

You dodging makes 9 other people have to go through 3-7 mins of waiting queue and champ select just for you to subjectively decide the game is unwinnable, and send those 9 people back into another 3-7 min wait of queue time and another champ select. If you're so obsessed with winning, get better at the game and you will eventually get the rank you deserve.

what I'm trying to get here is that I'm not having fun, and i don't get why you are so salty about me saying its a waste of time. think of it like this:

there's a bus at the bus stop you are going to get in but it smells super bad, goes a long way and it has a pick pocketer in it, what do you do?

A) wait for the next bus which will come in about 5-7 minutes which is normal.

B) go the long way, with a guy stealing half of your money and be in a bad smell all time

Hmm. I don't hate someone for dodging because there is a troll on their (our) team. I think there should be an in lobby report option for when someone is holding a lobby hostage. However when people dodge because they have a bad comp it annoys the hell out of me, because it's delaying the game. If everyone dodged the game like that it would be bad for que times, and people that abuse it are asses.

Majority of this community does not strategically plan their champion select. If I were to dodge every "troll", I wouldn't get to play very many games. However, the games I do play are shit competitively because of the "troll picks". Lose lose situation. Probably why I haven't been playing this game much lately.

Some trolls work even when they make no sense. I played 2 leona jungle norms to which we won hard.i did more than my share those games. Troll picks can work but not always. Next season ranled will suck for the people i play with because then ill be taking my leona anywhere, practicing her a bit all over the place right now.

All trolls can work. That is how shitty the competition level is in this game. I've seen 4 people beat 5 people. Doesn't mean I want to play 4 on 5.

The only dodges that annoy me are the ones in ARAM because someone didn't get a champ he wanted. It's fucking ARAM, if you can't handle the possibility of getting a champion you don't like, the mode isn't for you.

In normal/ranked games, dodging is a healthy option that can prevent bad team synergy if the signs are all present during champ select. Riot themselves have recommended dodging at times, especially if it's likely your team will have an altercation.
