The league community as it is known

Last game I played someone on team raged, intentionally fed, threatened to afk and wished harm of another player. All b/c I started a camp as top lane. I thought about all of the toxicity I've seen and feels it outweighs the positive experiences (I've been gifted a skin for winning a game for a duo as thanks for getting them promoted). I would say the breakdown would be something like 50% neutral, 45% toxic and 5% positive.

Yet, next season we are going to allow larger groups of these people to impact ranked games. Riot currently doesn't adhere to it's own ToS while enforcing on us the consumers. As someone who has spent over a $1000 on this game in the little over a year I've played, I can honestly say I regret supporting Riot with any of my money nor will I support them again until things change.

All I play is ranked with occasional arams. When in ranked I expect everyone to try and work as a team to win. People can have bad games but can make up for it in other ways (i.e. vision). The amount of toxicity isn't worth it imo. As someone, who has dealt with depression in the past, I understand how bad surrounding yourself with toxicity can be. I don't want to be in this type of atmosphere nor do I think others do as well.

So, I'm left with either finding a group and playing ranked teams, aram only or quit playing. I just want less toxicity b/c it's starting to affect me which isn't good. Riot won't do anything meaningful with legitimate punishments for people in ranked. So, it's up to me to find it. I want to play as a group where we can work as a group and strive to be the best we can be. Win or lose we'll know we put all of our effort in while pushing one another to their peak. If anyone is interested in playing with a like minded individual let me know. I'm a tech at a hospital and work 3-1130 pm est. I get most weekends and holidays off (can be on call though). You can reply on here or add me in game.

As a gamer who enjoys being "toxic", I can honestly say Riot does more than any other game company to defend against "trolls". LeagueOfLegends has become insanely popular, attracting people who aren't use to the online game community. LeagueOfLegends is a game where you can lose your right to speak with other players simply for saying "GG noobs" or something. It's honestly retarded. Why not just learn to use the mute button if you don't like competitive play? I seriously doubt the 45% toxic - the toxic players simply standout. There's no possible way to truly defend against "toxicity" in any video game that allows communication. I've been permanently banned on four different accounts simply for calling others noobs or bad kids. How else should Riot protect you from people using mean words? Maybe you should stick to video games that don't allow communication.

Amazingly understanding for someone who is going to get another inappropriate name punishment for such a classy name.
