What's up with this weird juju?

I get up to about silver 2ish and all of a sudden everyone ragequits. Like they legit start whining right away and feed into oblivion, not because they're bad, but because they psych themselves into feeding and losing. I just hit a huge losing streak where I'm legit the only positive happy person on my team and everyone else is flaming and quitting on me. It just happened all of a sudden. Every game today seems like it's so damn negative. Is there a science to this?

Three trolls in my last 4 placement games. One dude was pretending to have internet issues in chat but in pre game lobby was raging over our swain support pick (which ironically won lane hard). Waited until they were at our nexus turrets to say "Hey Im back guys we can win :)" then ran in to die 1v4. Then I had a Yi who tried to steal my jungle (I do not negotiate with ELO terrorist) so he went Yi crit top into maokai, and wouldn't group... or split push. Yeah. And lets not forget the hyper toxic Draven flaming everyone.. WHILE WE WERE WINNING hard af. First time I've placed in silver (silver 1) since season 4. You actually CANNOT play ranked on the weekends. You just can't.

Ya, I usually call it quits after two losses in a day, or two toxic games. Some days just aren't your day.

It's the economy.

After a couple of losses, people figure they're better off not playing league and the refocus on tryin' to make some coin to pay the rent.

K9 Unit really helped me with this problem. I think he's onto something with the weekend thing. It's not a good idea to play ranked on the weekend, which is where my meaningless losses started occurring! Kudos, and lots of dog treats.
