Check all the chat logs when reviewing a report

I was once banned I was in an argument and the guy reported me I didn't figure much but I got banned I doubt that the other person received any punishment. I want to get to the point when reviewing a report though it can be more time consuming please check the chat logs from every one that or either the one who reported the other as they can antagonize the other player, flame the other player, or int the other players lane. Many of the bans given are likely to be misunderstood as why that situation occurred in the first place. From my experiences any flaming or arguments have a good chance of someone starting the situation and then playing the victim saying they're going to report. Sometimes people simply forget to report in the end game lobby and therefore they can get banned and the other person who deserved the ban just as much gets away scott free.

Edit: for those who misunderstood I am saying both players should receive a ban not one get away free because the other started the argument.

Hey there, LeagueOfJhin!

The reason the report system doesn't work quite like that is because players are judged solely for how they choose to behave. It can definitely be frustrating to have a toxic player in your game, but since it's a conscious choice to engage in a fight, troll them in-game, or type offensive content back at them, a player who does so is judged for choosing to undertake that action.

The reason the system only reviews reported players is a bit more complex -- if no one is offended by the behavior in question (a full team of 5 friends, for example), Riot doesn't really care what is said as long as no one who didn't sign up for that experience is forced to listen to it. So looking at players who aren't reported could turn up false positives for behavior that, while normally reportable, is considered acceptable since everyone there opted into it.

I would like to know why riot only takes into consideration the reported player and not the one reporting! I fully agree with the ban that I go and that I was tilted as all hell. However, now because the chat seems to have been altered to only display what I said and not what the reporting player had said I lose everything and he does get away with far worse things. Riot I take my ban, but please look at your review system the amount of homophobic slurs that I have experienced just since season 8 ended on the 12th of November has sky rocketed.

And no reporting has come through about any of them even though my own team and the opposing team reported the players.

I would please like some feed back as to why homophobic and racial slurs are allowed and even muted eventually are still allowed.

Muting doesn't help anyone you are allowing someone with ridiculous beahaviour to go free.

It sounds great in theory, but ultimately it's better and easier to just have everybody responsible for their own words and actions.

Mutual ban-worthy arguments aren't supposed to happen. Better to avoid them yourself than to ensure that the other party is similarly punished, right?

Riot has the stance that you're responsible for your own behavior 100%.

Them baiting you into an argument isn't an acceptable excuse. If they're trying to start an argument in chat and feel like you're getting close to lashing back, mute them. Report them once the game ends if you feel like it's necessary.

I used to review reports for riot, it's not an AI system.
