got called a "%%%" and worse, and if i dont help them win I can be reported... i mean what?

ya, ok... so we have a mute button, awesome, and I use it... but why is it I get to be called a %%%, or a %%%%%, or whatever the hell insult they want to use before i get to use the mute button... and after i get insulted like that, i HAVE to try to win the game or else i get reported... yup...

i went aft once.. 1... one time in ranked, i was at my limit, i was being called a %%% and other worse things from prechat on and i went afk... i was put on leavebuster for that 1 (one) time... yup... 1 game got me on leaverbuster with a waittime penalty while having to withstand hatespeech from my teammates.. also in pregame and after game chat where there is NO mute button... so free hate that you have to "suck up buttercup"

you HAVE to play to win no matter what or u can be reported, no matter if your team is insulting you for fun, if you go afk, or "dont try your best" or whatever that shit is... u get reported and its justified....

someone please explain that to me?

people can insult you, they can say whatever, an unlike real life where you can walk away, or hurt them to make them stop, you are forced to do you best to help these trolls win because if you dont its a justifiable report against you....

makes sense right?

Look at it this way - yes, you may be ultimately helping an asshole or multiple assholes win...But, in the end, will they really win if they get banned five minutes later?

It sucks to have to deal with assholes, but you shouldn't become one yourself just to spite them. To quote Karma;

"Never become a monster to defeat one."

Hate to answer your question with your own question reworded, but...yeah. What they do to you does not control what you do to them. You take responsibility for your own actions and they're not responsible for you.

Do you go to work and say "This customer was rude to me so I shouldn't have to do my job for them" or do you just do your job, get paid, and go home?

You can mute them whenever you want. You can mute them before they say a single word. But to complain that neither you or riot can SEE INTO THE FUTURE AND PRE-MUTE TOXIC PEOPLE is a bit silly.

You can dodge pre-game so you don't play with them; and you don't need to stay around for post-game chat. And both are punishable so if you just report them they'll be dealth with.

There's 10 people in game. Just because some of them are toxic doesn't mean you get to punish the rest because you don't know how to mute and report.

In real life you can't mute someone, so walking away is your only option. In LoL you can mute. Use it. Then the person can dig their own grave, you don't have to see it, and you can report them afterwards and get them banned.

alright... every time i post i get it a lil more... i think i just have a different way of viewing the world than other people... thats fine in my life where we have laws to protect us and people are held accountable to their actions (unless ur rly rich) im getting im out of touch with the people who play this game... thank you all though for your responses, it helps me think outside my own personal box... and for that i am grateful

If you typically never quit a game, and you have a decent history of never quitting a game, and you got some doucher on your team... I mean... no one can blame you if you pull the network cable or flip off the wifi switch. Network outages happen all the time and no one can blame you if the power goes out

I just had a game where a player spammed over 50 messages in 25 minutes of toxic Grieving. I told him "idc, you're spamming and annoying." care to guess what happened next? End game, I report him and he reports me for calling him out. I GOT BANNED, he got nothing. The kicker? The other game of my list of report that got me banned? A teammate harassed another of my teammates for over 30minutes, I told the dude to knock it off several times and called him an a$h@le. Yup, you can bet that because I called him out and defended a teammate from a toxic spamming atrocity. I got banned for it. Justice has died in league, it's a game of Keyboard Crusaders now...
