my account was banned incorrectly because my IP address changed. What should I do?

It's still me. I have sent a dozen of ticket but still been ignored. And I created a discussion looking for some help, and a Riot'er came to talk to me. but 4 days have passed, I still got no reply. so I sent another ticket yesterday.

my speech: Hi. here is the situation. there is 3 points maybe you banned me.

  1. my friend in New York logged in my account to help me to purchase 2800 RP in 2-8.
  2. cause I both play NA server and China server, and China server has legal support Tencent Gaming Platform. maybe it was running when I play in NA server. But it can't work in NA server. it can only work on China server.
  3. I am a student studying in Beijing, and my hometown is Shenyang, and my college started term so I went to Beijing in 2-17,making the IP changed. if one of them is the reason you banned my account, please recover it. I am sure I didn't use bots. these are the reasons you banned my account I think now. let's talk about it. thank you very much.

his reply: After looking into your issue I was able to find that your concerns were already addressed in Ticket #25583440. As we have previously mentioned in that reply, there is nothing else we can do for you in this situation. We have thoroughly investigated the issue and provided you with our definitive answers on the subject.

I used to put the first ticket in my first discussion, so if I put it here, I think it is a little cumbersome.

I really hope to talk with Riot'ers. My account has been suspended for more than a month. And they told me that I used bots to lv30, but I never cheat. Okay, I've read all of your threads on this. That is quite a few tickets to submit to player support! There are a few things I can suggest. You may want to check with your friend, the one who helped you buy the RP, and ask him if he has any sort of botting program on HIS computer. As he logged into your account on his computer, you can actually be punished for anything that is on his system as well as your own.

To the best of my knowledge, botting services often use programs to level the accounts. You can see quite a few threads here where players complain about bots being in their matches. The "bots" do not speak, do not cast spells (or only rarely), buy items rarely and haphazardly, and have the basic intelligence of a beginner bot in a League AI Match. It would probably be fairly easy for any Support Specialist to tell by looking at the match inputs to see whether the champion were being controlled by a player or a bot program.

What may look suspicious in your case is the fact that you made the account in China, it was logged in New York where RP was purchased, and then it was once again logged in China. It may appear like someone bought the account and was simply having the original creator finish leveling it up to 30.

I do hate to have to point one thing out though. Even if you were to have Player Support unban your account for the use of a bot third party program, they may turn right around and ban it for account sharing with your friend, as that is also a permabannable offense.

Thank you at first. My friend logged out after he purchased and he didn't play. I played a lot of blind pick and blood moon etc. and I was lv22 when I was banned. Who play against players during his using bots to lv30? They might banned me because my sharing account in the future. but it's another issue. and I don't let him to play but to help me to purchase. They tell me that I use bots. but I didn't. and what ever I explained, they just ignored me. This is why I was unsatisfied. And I sad that Tencent gaming platform maybe the reason, it can count the jg animals appear time etc(some functions I can't describe correctly), and it's legal in China server(in fact,it was provide by Tencent), but it can't work in NA server. I don't know if they find this, but it has no function in NA server. it was designed only for China server. and another point. they banned my account just the next day I went to Beijing, not the next day I forgot to quit TGP, or the next day my friend logged out. so I don't think they banned my account because " I use bots", just they told me so. I really like this game. and I don't have visa or pay-pal. Now I want is get a believable reason, not guess or automatic response. thank you.

They won't lie to you about the reason you were banned. While they will not tell you the exact program that was used (because telling players how the illegal programs are detected makes it easier for the actual cheaters to make their programs harder for Riot to detect), Support will tell you the correct category for why you were banned. If they said you were banned due to the illegal use of a third party program, specifically like those known as botting programs, then at some point, your account was connected with a program that is capable of botting, even if it was not one that YOU deliberately used.

If the Tencent platform gives you timers, then it is ALMOST DEFINITELY considered an illegal third party program. The display of timers for buffs and ultimate abilities was one of the main reasons that Curse Voice was considered a banned program shortly after its release, and it was only after the program was modified to remove those timers that it was once again allowed. While it may be acceptable to use the Tencent platform in China, if you have used this account on both the Chinese and North American servers then it is possible that is what flagged your account for suspicious activity. Even if you are unable to use the Tencent on the NA server, if it's still on your computer, it can be detected. Are you aware of any sites that talk about that platform where I can read about the functions/abilities that it has? I may be able to give you a bit more insight if I know a bit more about it, but when I try to google it, I just get a bunch of webpages about the physical console released by the company, and not the platform itself.

I can't find English wiki about Tencent gaming platform, so I provide this information first. cause LOL is a game of Tencent so it was included by TGP. it has functions like Summoner information, game statistics, commonly used champions, historical records etc. TGP itself is not a website, it's a program. players login TGP(LOL account in China server is QQ number,it's the same as TGP account) and they can login the LOL client without entering password. It can't work in NA server.

While the Tencent program does not work on the NA server, if the NA server detected it on your system and it contains functions that are currently banned on the NA server, it could have flagged your account. Even if you never tried to use the program actively on the NA server (which you wouldn't have, since it doesn't work there) having it detected on your system can flag your account. I did look at the website, and tried using the translate function, but it's not always accurate and the information was a tad incomplete.

The only other thing I can suggest to try and exonerate yourself of botting charges is to show a break-down of the individual matches, in another ticket to player support. You should have access to your match history still, which I cannot view, as we are not in-game friends and they are not ranked matches. But in the match history, it allows you to show item build progressions, as well as a breakdown of how gold was earned over time, and where kills/deaths occurred. Bots are rather stupid compared to the average player. There are quite a few things that you can find in your match history to support that the games were played by YOU and not by a botting program.

Build Path - Bots often build the same exact path, which does not have to correspond with the amount of gold they have earned. You can look at your details, comparing the graphs for gold earned over time and when items were bought to show that you are spending all or at least most of the gold you have earned, rather than a bot that will wait until 9 minutes into the match to come back with a ruby crystal and a health pot.

Damage Graphs - How much damage was dealt by you to champions? How much damage was dealt by you overall? You should have a decent amount of damage dealt to champions, on par with another player on your team who has a similar score. The main exceptions are if you are primarily a tank that is not trying to deal damage as much as trying to absorb it, or if you are a low damage champion, like many supports. On the other hand, how much damage are you taking? Are you taking an extremely high amount of damage? Unless you are one of those tanks, you probably should not have levels of damage significantly higher than similar players on your team.

Death and Kill Locations - These graphs are also very useful. Where did you die? Did your champion run back to the same place in lane 15 times only to die again? That's bot behavior. Do your deaths occur all over the map, showing an active grouping with your team throughout the match, use of teleports and roaming to gain kills/assists, again showing an active grouping with your team throughout the match?

All of those things you can see in your matches, and you can screenshot them. Upload the images to one of the various free image hosting sites, and include that with your ticket. When you open a new ticket to support, but are not actually giving them any new information, they are going to simply close it again. You are asking them to discuss it with you, but you're not actually saying anything that you haven't said before, so it does kind of waste their time. Unless you can give them actual information showing that you did not use any program to illegally level your account, it's just your word saying that you didn't. And every player that has been banned and contacts support will say that they didn't do it. You have to provide evidence.

ok...I used to send them a picture of my whole match history and said that if they don't trust me they can check my match history, but they still ignored me. maybe I should tell them in details?
I am still not sure if they think I use support(like TGP) or bots(as you said like bots just went to the lane and died). Wuks asked me last time and I told him about TGP but he didn't reply me. I will put my picture of match history on my google+, there is a link to it in the discuss above. thanks a lot.

Well, it's one thing to show them an overall picture of your match history. That doesn't actually prove anything. All it does is show that you played some matches, and it shows what your KDA was in them. But if you show them the types of things I'm listing, it can help prove that you did not use a botting program to level the account. You need to tell them in detail.

I have not seen Wuks in a few days, he may simply be busy with work/school. I'm sure he will reply to you as soon as he sees your comment. He's very, very good about replying to people who direct questions or comments to him.

well, I'm a little tired about this whole thing, and Wuks tell me he would settle it for me 10+ days ago. you can know that through the link I post at the top of this discussion"my accout was banned incorrectly....". but my account is still be banned in this moment. I think the whole match history can prove that I bought equip all by myself, and since I buy equip by myself I didn't need to use bots. and about your advice, showing them my damage, path and death location is difficult. I played about 100+ matches I can't show them all these things in each match. this is not worth it. and I must find someone more powerful to settle my problem or those supports would just say "your issue has been mentioned". I know this discussion is really old, sorry to bother you.

This could definitely use the wisdom of Riot Tantram, or possibly even the assistance of Wuks. I suspect that there is a little bit of confusion on the part of the Support Specialist, and that they are not necessarily understanding precisely where the OP lives, and which servers/areas he plays from. But I'm not sure if clearing that up will be enough...

Wuks talked to me in the discussion which I linked above. I told him about the TGP thing. and he hasn't replied me for 3 days.
