Something has got to give in your punishment system
I'm writing this in hopes that some red will see this and attempt to fix the logic of their system.
I just got done playing one of the worst ranked games I have played since the pre-season in terms of toxicity. I was playing Viktor mid vs a vlad. Everything was going fine until our top skarner, and jungle vi started to intentionally feed a malphite and a Yi. Every time they would go in for the kill, the yi would constantly spam things like ""Wink, Thanks for feeding me"" and constant harassment of my entire team all while their brand support was spamming in all caps very toxic speech vs our ADC.
I even muted these players, but the last straw came when the yi tower dove at half health vs my full health, took 0 damage from the tower, killed me,killed the tower, then danced over my body for a good 2 minutes all while spamming mastery emotes.
First off, Why do I have to wait til the end of the game to report these players when I would rather take the chance on leaver buster, not get my account permanently banned(already let my anger out once in the past 3 months) because even tho I'm following your suggested guidelines on how to deal with toxic players, these toxic players are still bypassing it by what happened to me in this last game. Muting a player does not hide their mastery emotes, and it doesn't stop me from seeing them dancing all over my corpse. There needs to be something In game and not in client that will report them and immediately mute the person, Heroes of the storm has it.
Lastly, even tho I reported these players for their toxic behavior, They continue to go around unpunished even tho their toxicity was well above the normal levels, or at the very least given a notification that the system even is dealing with their toxic behavior.
It's games like this that make me worried about the punishment system in ranked as a whole.. When, as a player, I would rather take a leaverbuster penalty (my team was also incredibly toxic and was reported as well) than risk flipping my lid in chat and get punished for venting frustrations.
