10 game chat ban for defending myself in game - NEVER used ANY ''bad words''.

I am amazed after logging in today to see I have a 10 game chat ban.

The first log I was given was about a pyke player who was talking in caps and telling me to go mid, I was playing Nami support to the bot lane and I said support in the champ select screen but he stayed and griefed bot lane, fed a few times. I asked the bot lane who he/she wants to support and because I had already set up kills and saved him a couple of times, of course, he said he wanted me as his support. so this pyke started feeding and griefing the other guy's attempts to cs, and generally being a dick until he finally ''calmed down''. This guy called me some sort of swear word in chat containing 4 letters, you can only guess what that was, I went as far as calling him dumb and immature, yet I have had a 10 game chat ban from this.

The second log was literally me explaining to a guy who was harassing me for 5 minutes straight over the fact I had ignited with flash instead of flash and heal as I was support, I explained to him that plenty of supports take ignite and I actually got the idea from a guide online from a season 1 veteran challenger player. But I explained to him this, he said I should be reported for trolling because I didn't take heal so I called him dumb. Since when did players think they have the right to control what summoner spells other players take? I told him if I really wanted too I could play jungle as Janna with smite and teleport (if I was immature enough too) but I wouldn't, I was simply saying to him that people can bring any spells they like into the game, there's no rule saying supports have to take heals and flash and been as ignite +flash is what bizzleberry got to challenger with I'd say it's far from a ''trolling'' loadout. I got the loadout on mobafire, as I'm a new player I do like to look at a build guide before playing a new champion.

I really hope the others got a ban too, this game makes me paranoid af, like what is allowed and not? defending my use of igniting over heal in-game chat has led to a 10 game chat ban, even after being called a '' **** '' and I think we all know what that word is...

This is a game I feel I can't win at, every single player is going to get some sort of ban on this game because the trolls and the people being dicks always win. I hope the others got bans too, been as they were the only ones to use foul language towards another player. But probably not right.

Just get rid of the in-game chat option, It's only ever used for trolling, flaming or saying ''gg'' after you win. No one is nice in it, I get a 10 game chat ban and will lose rewards for my honour level 2 (or something like that, not sure what entirely) for defending my use of and my right to choose what spell I take into a game with me, Pathetic.

I also won't be spending any more money on this game simply because I'm so paranoid now that I'll wake up one day with a permaban over something just as ridiculous as this.

Use /mute all after getting into a game. Leave post-lobby asap after a bad game. Simple as that, if you're never the aggressor then this works phenomenally well.

As for why were you punished? Hmm. Because Riot only looks at your logs. They don't care who started it. As soon as they see anything negative, it will be punished. Now, take note OP that just one game won't do this. But if you get multiple reports in different games then once they rack up, you get reviewed. And anything, forget toxicity. Even arguing can get you punished there. So the short and easy solution is to not talk. But if you're new and want to keep chat open then that's upto you. Anyone says anything you don't like? Just mute-report. That's all you can do.
