Hextech Punishments

As many of you have probably found out by now riot is repunishing previously "toxic" players or anyone with a previous chat restriction by not awarding them with their Hextech items earned in games.

The tribunal is meant to make toxic players reform and do better by punishing them once for their "crimes". To do something like this way after the fact and after that player has corrected their behavior is just unnecessary punishment and does not encourage a player that has already been corrected. If anything it is toxic of Riot to do something like this especially since they did not even announce this new hidden (possibly permanent?) punishment

It's not a punishment for the misbehaved but a reward for those who have never misbehaved.

I was banned for 2 weeks about a month ago. How long is this toxic rehab take to start earning rewards? I haven't gotten a chat restriction or any kind of punishment since then because I do not wish to be banned again. After a month of trying hard to follow what my elementary school teacher taught me, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all," the only thing its gotten me is a penalty for being toxic awhile ago. I'm not sure who had the idea to punish the people with previous restrictions by allowing them to not earn rewards, but whomever/whatever decided that was the best way to go just made League of Legends more toxic.

It's like if a player obtained less LP for a win in ranked because he/she had a restriction in his past. Is that justice? No, its just a way to piss someone off and make them more eager to be toxic later on. That player earned his/her end game reward. He/She worked together with his/her team and won the match, he/she shouldn't get less of a reward on a team based game because he/she was the one "criminal" in the group that said mean things once before.

This isn't justice in any way shape for form. Riot, please just focus on balancing champions and not balancing people.

So when does the restriction end? I'm not currently on a chat ban but served one a week ago. When will I become eligible?

https://twitter.com/RiotSocrates Flood his twitter with the issue on hextech crafting and hopefully we'll have someone respond as to what the lenght of this "reform" period is.

RiotNeuroCat on Hextech Restrictions (via reddit.com)

"There is no fixed interval here - if you continue to play with sportsmanlike behavior, you'll eventually get back into good standing."

If your account is not in good standing then you have been consistently enough reported since your restrictions that the system hasn't cleared you or you just haven't played enough games with good behavior. This is always how it worked, except now you're actually facing consequences of having poor standing. If you think you deserve loot drops then prove it. Nobody can fix your standing but you so get out there and play some games and show Riot you are willing and able to change your ways. That's the definition of reform, my friend.
