If someone leaves in a ranked game

They should take the LP loss for all five members and the remaining four get loss forgiven. To penalize the other four individuals for remaining in a ranked game in an entirely unwinnable situatin is bullshit. You cannot tell me that this could be "exploited" because leaving is already a punishment in itself. All this does is puts the 100% onus on the individual leaving. To those that are somehow arguing that you want to be able to remain toxic in ranked games and this system could be exploited, implementing this punishment to leavers of premades would immediately solve your non-existant issue of "omg premades will abuse this"

You're right in that leaving has a punishment attached to it, but what it doesn't have is a reward for your teammates if you leave. That is a key distinction, because you're proposal would change that.

As soon as you say "hey, you won't take a loss if you can get that other guy to leave early" you create a whole can of worms. You'd have people intentionally feeding, making death threats, ddosding, etc, trying to get their own teammates to rage quit/AFK/DC. You'd create a far more toxic environment, and it would be a big step backwards.

My entire block lost power in a ranked game last week. It had been LIGHTLY raining outside; I couldn't have reasonably anticipated that it was enough to threaten my connection.

It's unfortunate that my situation harmed my teammates, but do you seriously think I should have lost FIVE TIMES as much LP for it? Shit happens, and the current Leaverbuster system acknowledges that.

So if someone is on a smurf with a buddy/Duo (or a group) They could just leave and take on for the team (its a smurf account so it doesnt matter to them if it gets ban/lowered in rank) and you don't think that is exploitable?
