Maybe you should read up on how the system works before you suggest changes. First: People are not matched according to their rank, but to their MMR, so if you are merely suggesting to change the rank where people start at, literally nothing would change, other than people taking a bit longer to reach the rank they deserve (unless of course they deserve Bronze V). Secondly: Even if you meant to imply that people should start at the MMR of Bronze V your change would have literally no effect on matchmaking as Riot's system works entirely on relative comparison between players. All such a change does is change the average MMR people have, it doesn't actually change anything about who people are matched with.

Again, people are not matched based on rank. The idea also completely defies what placement matches are for: Putting people in matches with people of their skill faster, making games more enjoyable for everybody, bad players (that don't get stomped for long) and good players (that get to play challenging matches faster). It makes no sense to keep placements but remove the only reason they exist. It's also an absurdly elitist way of dealing with trolls/smurfs, given that you're just trying to keep them in Bronze longer. You're not killing them, you're just either delaying them or making them other peoples' problems.

This is the only suggestion that is not fundamentally flawed and that could actually achieve what you want. However it's a matter of priorities whether this change is a subjectively good idea, as it would also make the queue times spike up very heavily, as the majority of players never spent a buck on the game. Either way, it's kind of moot to argue about this, as this change will never happen, since it goes against Riot's absolute core philosophy.
