Ranked: please add paywall and disallow people under 40% wins

So I've been trying for the past week to get into silver... Extremely frustrating to keep promoing and winning into B1, only to get trolls or completely braindead teammates which push me back down to b2 again.

Can you PLEASE cut down on the trolls and unskilled players in ranked?

If you haven't spent $20 (on champs/skins/etc) on the game, you can't ranked. If you are below 40% win rate overall, you can't ranked and must prove yourself in normals again before going back.

This will cut down on the trolls, it will cut down on the elo boosters, and what it would especially cut down on are people smurfing up toon after toon after toon. Added bonus, you get more revenue because of a paywall!

You really want to kill off ranked? Cause this would. Population would drop like a rock, almost no matches able to be made, the ones that were more imbalanced than my current mental state..

I don't think it would. people buy up enough skins by the time they do ranked that they would have spent $20 anyway.

What it would allow, is for actual bronze/silver people to have fair matches.

Yeah, because with the skins they get something even remotely tangible in return for what they are paying. You don't do it so you get better treatment by Riot. What your suggestion would create would essentially be an exclusive "paying player only" kind of queue, which is not only widely detested amongst most players, but also goes entirely against one of Riot's core philosophies.

That's a horrible idea encouraging the people with more money to waste on a F2P game to get further. If this is added we might as well add infinite damage boosts and untargetability in ranked for RP

I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask that people can't maintain 2-4 accounts to smurf or troll ranked for fun. These are great deterrents for both.

If you add a paywall you will keep some smurfs out and a lot of casual gamers and new players away from joining. If you add a win% minimum you will keep out everyone EXCEPT smurfs who'll be able to keep out everyone else. When they see their win% is getting low they'll go ranked and wreck everyone until their win% is high enough to troll again [slayer-jinx-unamused]

I don't think you understand. People who max out their accounts once finished, make a new account and either troll, or elo boost for their friends.

By making it so someone has to have some $$$ investment in the account, you tie a name/CC/etc to the account. People are much less likely to want to spend $20 on a troll account.

As it stands now new players are hurt the most because you have a ton of alt accounts who are really gold+ running around bronze for fun.

Think of it this way, would you enjoy playing in a chess league where after someone became a chessmaster, they reset their rank and let them play through again from the start?

The ranking system works well because people eventually leave the lower ranks, never to return. In LoL, you make a new account and you're back to trolling over new players. Hardly fair, hardly the intended mechanics of the matchmaking system.

Can you honestly say THAT many people in this game haven't spent a little money on RP along the way to 30?

i'm not denying smurfing or that it's a problem i'm denying the fact that a paywall won't help as much as it will ruin the game. Smurfing is a problem in any rankbased game like cs:go which already has a paywall AND a lvl wall. Though the paywall is smaller in cs:go people buy both league and cs:go smurfs online for up towards $30 already so saying people won't cross the paywall to get ranked doesn't seem plausible. Adding a paywall to make online smurfsites unprofitable will also scare off a lot of new players AND existing pleyers who're playing without any skins. Riot would be a pretty shit company if they sacrificed a thousand players for every 10 smurfs

And as a sidenote i have several friends who's only skins are the discount ones offered at special events(halloween, christmas, etc.) meaning they have spent $0 on league and they are well up into the ranks.

There are people practicing on climbing the rank too. Just because of few bad players and you're blaming those innocents for it. It's like blaming entire box of apples for just one bad rotten apple. Stop whining over a few bad games. We get it...we all went through those problems before. Just move on and keep playing to improve yourself 1st and stop pointing blame fingers on others like a lil kindergarten kid.

Have you ever thought that maybe you have plateaud? Sometimes you get to a certain rank and cant climb because thats where you belong. I'm not trying to be a dick, Its happened to me and that why im done with ranked for the season. It looks like this is your first season(based off you not having records of ranked from previous seasons.) It looks like you main jungle but have two champs you can play and theyre both out of the meta. Sure, Volibear can carry hard in low ELO but you die too much on him, from a first glance, to really snowball like he should. Playing tank junglers in bronze is risky enough because you need to count on teammates to followup with the damage and simply, its bronze so dont rely on them. Sion jungle is not meta but i know it works. Its just that playing these tanks makes you reliant on teammates. Try picking up a more damage focused jungler or playing a carry in a lane. In Bronze, 9/10 times, if you farm hard and just plain do more damage, youll win.

TLDR: Blame your teammates all you want to but when you play jg and juggernauts/tanks you will have to rely on your allies more. Let some scrub be the tank and use him to body block while you delete people.
