Standing around the Nexus

(Starting disclaimer: I have primarily played ARAM for quite a while now. The following may not apply outside of that context.)

So I recently came back after a hiatus of a month or two. I have noticed the expansion of what was, when I stopped playing, fairly rare: winning teams not attacking a vulnerable Nexus. I've even had people on my team saying "don't end." I'm having trouble explaining it. It's not particularly fun to just run around or spam emotes. The team on the receiving end of this maneuver is usually dead or mostly so, so they aren't doing anything interesting. The one or two kills you might get certainly don't add anything at that point. Although, if sustained, it gives the opponent an opportunity to rally, which I have seen lead to several turnaround wins. It almost feels like feeding at that point. What's going on?

It's literally just about getting even more kills and/or gloating about the stomp. They think it's hilarious they won in champ select and don't give a shit about how the enemy team feels.

I hate when people do this, though I find it hilarious when the enemy team does that and proceeds to get aced and lose the game because they'd rather gloat than end. I also don't mind the loss if my own team does it, 'cause if they couldn't stop being jerks for 5 seconds in a clear stomp, then they didn't even deserve to win.

The game was likely a stomp and the winning side just wants to bask in it a little while longer before they proceed on to lose the next 3 ARAMs at the loading screen because the enemy got a certain set of Champions. It's not fun to be in this situation, but it's understandable as to why it happens.
