What would you rather have in your games?

Just curious of what you prefer in your ranked games.

Maybe to clarify:

You are winning with the Diamond, you are losing with the feeder.

intentional feeder or unintentional? If unintentional, I will pick the feeder. At least he will probably do his best to salvage what he can, instead of totally destroying team morale every step of the way.

I have lost more perfectly winnable games thanks to flamers than feeders.

I am asking because I have a Diamond friend that is toxic as fuck, but thanks to him we always win. However I sometimes encounter this bronze/unranked in my team that throws the game every time he can because he doesn't know how to play, those games are almost always lost.

But if that bronze player is friendly, he might listen to your advice and improve over time. Where the toxic douchebag will probably always be a douchebag until he sees the light himself.

It boils down to your own preference. Do you want to win no matter what, or do you get enjoyment out of other things?

Personally, I do not like games with flamers, even if we won - and even when the flame is not directed at me. It just feels like a tainted victory then. I'd rather have a pleasant loss - if that makes sense.

People hardly listen to advice in bronze... in my 3 year career as league of legends player I haven't seen ONCE a bronze or low silver player learning from the game, none of them moved from their ranks in 3 years and prob never will.

Also what if the game was ranked?

Unless you track those players yourself, you'll probably won't see it. Or maybe they are just at their skillcap. Not everyone is meant to be diamond ;) I myself am high silver (hopefully low gold someday soon), but I don't think I will ever progress past that. I simply dont have the mechanical talent nor the ambition to go higher.

Anyhow, I am digressing. I was assuming we were talking about ranked the entire time, so what I said above still holds. If the player does not listen to your advice, it is up to you to work with what you got and to make the best of it. But at least the feeder is willing to work with you - while the flamer is only playing against his own team the entire time.

So I'd still choose the feeder instead of the flamer.
