Anywho, I'd like to start this out by acknowledging and accepting that I have received correctly issued Leaverbuster Penalties before. I play casually and I have had times when something more important happens and I have had to leave a game. However, this particular instance was not a result of me playing casually. The main link is the link to the game which I received the penalty directly after. I went into a game with two of my friends, locked in as Sion and was excited to get out of my normal Yorickness. All went well until my friends loaded into the game and I did not. I was redirected to the client for maintenance issues. I'm sure it's happened to someone else, but it's a lot like having a really quick patch, disabling you from playing a game for a while. I was out of the game just long enough for my team to load in and remake the game, meaning I was punished for leaving, even though I tried to reconnect immediately after the maintenance issue had been fixed. Despite the attempted reconnect, I was still penalized. I wouldn't be angry if I had been going afk recently. I would've accepted it as an inevitability and gone through my penalties with no complaint. However, my only recent game-leaving activity is in the link located in the beginning of the body of the post. That was a game where my ISP started having issues while I was in a game. I had connectivity issues leading to a loss and a little bit of tilting, but nothing major. This is the only AFK activity I've had in recent months that I can recall or see in my match history. I have, in the past, left games and received this penalty, so I'm more on watch than others, but this does not merit a Client-related issue landing me a five game, twenty minute, no IP, no rewards penalty. To sum up, due to two games, one with bad connectivity and the other being kicked out of a game by the program itself, and a brief history of AFKing, I have to wait for a very long time to play anything. I would mind less if I played more, but, as is, I don't play that often because I rarely have time. This particular penalty will have me have to carve out at least an hour of my day for one game, which I don't usually have. TL;DR: I was penalized for an issue with the client, and that is wrong.
