Dropping divisions due to afk's

So I just played a game with Kat where our Vayne afk'd at level 5. I went 14/7/5. We lost, needless to say, even though we were still winning teamfight's before lategame hit. Because of the loss I dropped down to bronze II. I try so hard in this game. I am never toxic and I try to keep my team from being toxic to each other. I lose a majority of my games due to other toxic players on my team and AFK's. The volume of which seems to only increase. Im sure this has been talked about before but when is riot going to do something about this? I spend way too much time on this game for this to be ok and its the reason I feel that a lot of players leave. RITO PLS FIX AND NERF IRELIA OR SOMTHING.
