People who ban your champ

I'm sure you've all had this problem. I recently entered a game and selected my champ. All fine and dandy. Then during banning phase someone decides to ban my champ. I hate how people do this. I hate more that the game does not punish them for being such **holes. When someone does this I'M the one being punished. I have to dodge so that I can play the champ that I want. Meanwhile the person who does so is completely untouched. They get their retry at another game without any penalty. Then I got a wait timer for it. Now because of that one guy who decided he was going to exploit the system, I have to sit here for TWELVE FKIN MINUTES FOR SOMETHING THAT SOMEONE ELSE DID.

This is just worsened in ranked, where you lose lp for being queued up with these people. Riot has to do something about this. At least make it impossible to ban the champ someone has picked. What would really make me happy though, is if doing this would put everyone back into the queue, except that the person who tried to do so would be left with a heavy wait time. But that's just me. Hopefully Riot will do something about this in the near future. Tell me what you think below.

I don't view it as an issue. Players should be allowed to ban whatever champion they want.

Your desire to play one specific champ isn't more important than my right to ban any champ I want. Every player gets to ban any one champ.

If you're really that worried about the motives behind another player's ban... just stop hovering your pick. Then you'll realize other players just don't want that champion in the game, and it's not because of some toxic or troll reason to piss you off.

Also if it's going to completely ruin your experience if you don't get to play one very specific champion... you might not be in the right mood or mindset for league. It's probably best if you take a break and come back when you're in a better state. The great thing about league is that there are dozens upon dozens of champions (140 now), so if the ONE champion you had in mind gets banned or picked before you... there are plenty of other good options to choose from.

Also, from a strategic standpoint.. especially in ranked, it's worth taking into account enemy picks and team comps before you truly decide what champion you're going to play. Being so dead set on ONE champion before you even get into queue and being so inflexible about changing what you're going to play that you feel the need to dodge is pretty extreme.

If players banning the champion they want to ban is really that much of a problem for you, there is also blind pick available to you where no one gets to ban anything.

Riot has said it a couple of times- it's their ban to do whatever they want with including banning a champion that a teammate is hovering.

Having a system similar to thedoge system would be perfect if they banned a teammates champ once they get a 5 min timer if they ban a team members champ again within a certain amount of games the timer will be extended. This way if the person really did ban the champ by mistake, they will only have a small time out, but if someone keeps doing it to be toxic, or if they have a grudge against someone, then they will be penalised with higher timers.

ik its sucks when players do this but sometimes its an honest mistake, if it is then just move on and dont troll but if it wasnt, then just leave. I'd rather lose lp than waste my time playing with a troll knowing before the game started that he was a troll and then complain. Its annoying but at least you wont be at total loss, ive left promo games cuz of trollers, it sucks but i dont regret it all. Ive actually gotten a 14 day suspension before cuz of a troller that took tp and smite mf supp. Im pretty sure he got reported cuz everyone on the team reported him but i couldve left during champ select and next time i will if i see these types of players.

When someone in my team does this i just lock in Teemo and write "bring it on".

Usually someone dodges.

I also hate that kind of lacking sociality players. But Riot would do nothing about this since this stagnation is a part of their tier design IMHO.

Furthermore as being said, "Players should be allowed to ban whatever champion they want.". You cannot deny this fundamental ethic.

To tell the truth, I sometimes ban my teammate's champ when I don't want to play with those new champions like Kai=sa on our side (knowing it would not change the future at all).
