Why I think the majority of "the community" as Riot sees it are rational people

I'm tired, so this will be short, but I've been looking at the differences in opinions based on threads and I've noticed something. When a player complains about a permaban, he is downvoted for not recognizing his mistake. When a player complains about other players not being banned because they sat in a lobby and exposed themselves to toxicity by staying, they are downvoted. Thus I think the rational ideal is report and move on, reports are more for being forced into a game with people as opposed to opting to stay and argue after, mute is a tool but not an excuse (so both parties need to use it that way). I feel that if you look at it all together it comes out reasonable. Don't get hung up on toxic people, and don't be toxic yourself.

Two points:

  1. people downvote because we're tired of this shit
  2. People get hung up of toxic player because riot dosen't always give you the "This player has been banned" message. So it can look like they haven't or aren't punished for toxicity. They only way of knowing for sure is if they're on your friends list and you don't see em for a 2 weeks but who wants them on their friends list right?
