Mute button

The Mute function is a powerful tool to prevent negative chat from bothering you, but it is not an excuse to be toxic; if a player is forced to mute you for being toxic then you've likely already become a problem. Having muted you, they should still report, as muting is to prevent further issue in the current game while reporting is to prevent it from being a problem for others in the future.

Ironically you didn't used it yourself, otherwise you wouldn't be permabanned.

Those people who don't use it are probably the same people who accept a friend request from a salty player in the postgame and then complain when they are harassed.
