Why does Riot repeatedly place players I've reported in the next few games?

This happens often. When you report someone for being toxic, why are they in the next game, and the next one? Even multiple reportings of said "person" won't stop the injustice. I've had players troll and fed on purpose because they were in the next game and recognized me. Where's my 1 free dodge so I can get out without it costing me?

Why can't this be fixed? It's extremely toxic to see the same troll over and over and over again.

Don't queue back immediately.

The system is designed to match you up with people of similar MMRs and to minimize wait time. The troll has a similar MMR to you because he's already gotten matched up with you and since you both queued up at the same time (since your game ended at the same time), there is a much higher chance that the system will match you with him. THIS IS HOW MATCHMAKING WORKS IN EVERY SINGLE COMPETITIVE VIDEO GAME, NOT JUST LEAGUE.

I have never had this problem. You know why? Because win or lose I take a 3-5 minute break between games and THINK about how that game went, what I did well, and what I need to focus on next game to improve. Just doing that will pretty much guarantee that you will never get matched up with the same troll every again.

The title should be "Why does riot support toxicity?".

They should be putting people with reports in games with other people who have reports. If you're not the troll, you shouldn't be cursed with the troll.

Whenever I find myself with a particularly bad teammate, win or loss, I usually take a break for a few minutes after. Grab a snack, stretch, pet your dog/cat. I also do this when someone in champ select starts talking trash or threatening to troll, and someone else dodges. Cancel the queue, and sigh in relief because you dodged a bullet. I'm willing to give up a few minutes of game time to avoid 30+ min of frustration.

I have a story. I queued up for Mid/Bot and I got ADC. Two of my teammates are duo'd (jungle and support) and they start harassing me to switch with the jungler so he can "carry". I tell them jungle is my worst role and I'm fine playing ADC, thank you very much. So we get in game and the support says "good luck nerd" and leaves me to 1v2 bot lane and just roams around. I mute him and his duo partner and just play my best, and amazingly we win that game anyway.

I queue up again, and get ADC again with a whole new team. And who do I see on the enemy team on the loading screen? The same two guys! They now have their ADC/Sup duo dream. Good for them. Long story short, our team stomps them, their adc ragequits, and we push for the nexus. I was quiet all game, but before the end, I couldn't resist typing to their support in all chat: "Hey [summoner], remember me? :)))".

Feels good, man.

Just because you report them for toxicity doesn't equal them being established with guilt and blame by you, thus meaning you get to exclude them from MM with you.

A report flags a game for review. They do not establish guilt. The game is then reviewed for harassment, feeding, etc. This is why 'troll reporting' or 'gang reporting' do not work. False or inaccurate reports are thrown out.

Also, if the player in question actually is guilty of flaming, trolling, and you're simply reporting them jumping to the name match, large chance you're in the same pool of players being paired for a match as them.

Take that as an opportunity to keep your mouth shut and watch how they behave based on prior actions;

  • They flame, you F12 and you report them without saying a word.
  • They don't, play the match normally, as you always should.

This is a two way street issue, because it takes two to tango -- More than likely if they chose to flame you, it's because you drew attention to yourself by arguing or engaging them in the bull they were doling.

Bottom line: sit yourself down and figure out why or how you're seeing this every game, and logically think about how to prevent it.

Because what are you really trying to accomplish: Justifying and proving that your opinion is above Riot's systems, or that you can't learn to get over your own problems, attitude, and salt, and learn to cooperate with something you don't agree with?

Because I'm skeptical that this went down how you claim.

Logs or Lolno.

Because this would create a nightmare in high elo.

So you can report them again. Just happened to me and then I got a notice of the player getting taught their lesson. Seems legit.
